Hi Guys,

I recently got my car resprayed, bodykit re-glassed, and i also got some other little custom things done, one of these things included shaving the boot. This included; rear wing, boot brake light, Nissan badge & boot lock.

I've also had my tail lights re-wired so that all four 'rings' light up on the brake, instead of just two, as per a stock R34. Pictures attached, I hope you guys enjoy & appreciate.

(Pictures taken on camera phone, sorry for low quality).

Looks good man, best way to do it.

How did you wire up the lights? I've got some mates who might be interested

I'll upload some pictures and so fourth on the lights tomorrow hopefully, will keep you posted.

I shaved the S off the bonnet too, only badges that are kept are the GT badges on the side.

Ganador mirrors comming soon too, and some bronze Work Emotion XD9's for my car, hopefully it suits the dark blue pearl colour of my car. :)

No issues at all, mine also had a tiny bit of rust, it's a common issue in R34's. Legally speaking I think you have to have one there, but i just passed a roadworthy with it, so who cares.

To make all four rear tail lights to light up you need to add 2 globes to each light and wire them up to the brake light, piss easy and costs f**k all to do it.

Lucky beauty is in the eye of the beholder Gathem, i love my genuine cwest kit. :nyaanyaa:

I also just added 3 autometer gauges in the triple gauge cluster, and one which is in place of the cigarette lighter, looks mint, i'll post up pictures later this week. Because the gauges were a tiny bit smaller than the gauge holder (about 1.5mm) i got a peice of aluminium, had it painted matte black and then mounted them into the centre of that, also getting rid of the glass that is in front of the stock gauges, also installed a new mongoose alarm which works in conjuction with my factory central locking key, greddy turbo timer mounted flush with the dash, just above the sunglasses holder for those who know where i'm talking about.

Next is R34 GTR seats, 10" subwoofer and an amp, all hidden so you cant see a thing. My attention to detail is stupidly insane almost, but perfection and a clean look is what i'm after, it'll all be worth it in the end. Also plan to spray the centre console and window switches in the same colour, or maybe silver, undecided yet.

Sounds awesome dude, lookin forward to more pics, u say u have a greddy TT, is it the full auto timer? if so did you get a harness to go with it or just splice wires? I want the full auto timer, but am not sure which harness will go with the 34, hard to find info on it

Yeah, i've got the full auto timer, intergrated into my mongoose alarm.

I didn't get the optional harness, just slpiced, solder & tape up. It's a great turbo timer, although i highly doubt i'm going to use any other of the features like 0 - 200m times and so fourth. No need to really purchase the harness, took all of 25 minutes to install with the splice method. Good luck, and i'll upload more pictures soon. :)

    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
    • Thank you so much for the help
    • Yes it is ATF. I quote @Duncan "it takes a good synthentic auto trans fluid like Castrol Transmax Z" It's not a diff. It's a transfer case. Totally different thing. Yes, fluid will come out the sender hole. No you do not really need to drain it. Just pull the old, quickly poke the new, clean up and top up. But realistically, you should probably take the opportunity to change it anyway.
