^^^ lolz thats funny as...

neons are so gay man...i cringe whenever i see some one with them on..especially if they are excels/lancers/civics...yes for show but not for the road...then again i would never put them on a show car.

fast and the furious was like 7 years ago wasn't it

have fun with the cops, I have not seen a car with underglow neons in years, I assume they have all been dicked.

More likely then that, they don't have them turned on on the street :P

I dunno why people have to voice such an opinion over this, it's not your car, it's not your choice. Same rule applies to every mod.

More likely then that, they don't have them turned on on the street :D

well yeah that too, but doesnt 'Tyson' want them for street use....

i mean yeah you can have em for show but for street theres just no point these days unless you wanna show em to your mates in your garage, their classified as being illegal due to distraction to others drivers etc.

its easy.. go to autobarn.. i had the ones that go with the sound.. engine revs.. fading.. always on.. costs $300.. you can screw it to the body.. or side skirts.. mine stayed on even when the ignition is off... just run it to a switch

i had them in my vt.. so flame away lol.. but it was built as a show car and let me tell you.. it won't pick up chicks.. maybe 7-10yrs ago it would have but in todays age.. your prob gonna get laughed at...

they arent hard to hook up.. run the wires into the transformer.. and then to a switch.. the switch needs power (run off a fuse.. and then ground the earth wire.. done..

oh and they are the neon bars not the led ones.. where bouts in brisbane are you?

Oh true, if autobarn sells them i'll have to check it out. To be honest if i can get neons that are always on for cheaper than ones that change with the music etc then i'd rather just go with always on. I prefer them always on, if the fading feature etc came with it for free then i'd be like whatever but i don't want to pay extra for it lol. Does autobarn sell underbody neon kits? or do you have to buy all the parts seperate? I live on the North side of Brisbane in North Lakes.

Also those cars with the neons look awesome that were posted by the two other people (forgot your names sorry and i suck at multi-quoting).

I looked up Streetglow, those neon sets sound good. If i can't get any neon sets locally then i'll definately get them through that site.

99% of people on here have some form of illegal modification.... and their cars are street driven.... do you idle your car in the garage to show it off?

The point is, almost any modification is illegal these days, and if its not, im sure if you get pulled over, the cop will try and tell you it is anyway, some call it rice, some call it style, its all in the eye of the beholder so to speak. If you know its illegal but still want it, just be careful how you use it and everyone is happy :P

yes autobarn should still sell the normal underbody neons..

they come in a kit.. as you need a transformer to run them.. (comes in box).. north side too far for me.. i wanted the under car neons for the skyline to turn on when you open the door.. (then off if its closed of course) cause i thought thats a nifty trick.. and its not like the po po will harrass over that.. but then yeah i realised... VT seemed ok for them but not for my skyline.. prob cause yeah 5-7yrs ago they were the in thing but i'm over them now..

i don't mind/care/flame anyone with them on just not for the look i want on my line

Thanks, i'll check out autobarn. Hopefully they sell them, how big are transformers? The neon kits on streetglow have in-built transformers. I looked up the autobarn website and theres a store in caboolture so yeah not too far from me.

that is a sweet 34

some statistics you got there ey, my point was that with neons you have a much higher chance of getting pulled over because your are showing the world your 'illegal' mod. Its a visual aspect of the car where as most of the illegal stuff people have on here is 'usually' under the hood. Yeah you can still get done for it but you also have the chance of not getting pulled over in the first place.

Either way its up to the owner if their willing to take that risk.

LOL!

Bonus GT Spoiler for that one.

I have one of those too  normally it's only for show as well but changing the lock over is damn hard :P

I think the only time outside a show or private event I have had them on, is turning up to a meet... I would never (purposefully) drive with them on, my car stands out enough kthx

mine are used only for shows, never on the street, mind u i have seen some fully sik commonwhores with them on driving around and its like "your asking for it big time".

but yeah, i actually got mine from super cheap for 79 bucks when they were on special.

in the end its up too the owners choice on whether they want to do something to their car that everyone probably will hate. ive done it plenty of times and really couldnt give twoo shites.

just to add something to the mix guys,

UNDERBODY NEONS WHILST ON ARE NOT ILLEGAL TO HAVE WHILE DRIVING

to be not illegal there are some rules:

-no leds or neons are allowed to be colour changeable, only 1 solid colour

-neon tube/light source must not be visible, only the glow onto the road

-must not flash like a stobe or be seen as a distraction to other drivers

-must not be blue, red or white like police car lights. others colours ok. pink, purple, green, yellow, gold etc

-glow of light not exceed past car more than 1/2metre in all directions

-not allowed in areas such as parcel shelf, open front grills, door pillars and the like

ALL THIS INFORMATION HAS BEEN TOLD TO ME BY A FRIEND WHO IS A COP WITH 35YRS EXP. NOT GOSPEL BUT GOOD AS.

also regulations may change in other states, this would b relevant to vic only

    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items
    • Funny, but really not funny. Thank god (most) f the world has moved on since then
    • Lots of votes for driving onto a plank first; that is the quickest way I've found, 25mm is enough for my case but that will vary by car It also depends where you are going for. On the 32 I can get to the rear diff with my floor jack if I do that end first, and get it up on stands. Then I lift the front from either front tow hook as high as needed, also onto stands. Sometimes I need a small lift on the other tow hook to get it level enough If I do the front first I can't get to the rear diff because of the angle of the car Other options are getting to the front mount of the rear subframe from in front of the wheel (if only lifting one side, or just do both which is a bit of a pain compared to one lift from the diff), or also the gearbox cross member mount on the driver's side if you are  just trying to lift the driver's side. I This is the jack I use; it says 75mm clearance but of course that is only on the lower section so if you have to reach too far in like the diff you still get stuck. https://www.snapon-bluepoint.com.sg/category/Floor-Jacks/product/Floor-Jack,-2-Ton-Low-Profile
