I went up to machine shop this morning to give them a hurry up. They just started back at work after the break. They are close to pivoting centre arms and will have in time and yes. Reason they break is they are loaded as you know they want to go through an arch, and all the arms and bushes on the market only allow to go though one plane and hence they break. They also restrict suspension and act like a stiff shock indirectly, and when they don't they are starting to work lose and then have play in front end. The more camber and caster of a race car accentuates the problem. Odd thing is some cars get away with it with little or no prbos, whilst others have on going problems. All are binding though and restricting travel or free movement of suspesnion.

Awesome work JP...i knew you would be onto it.

The old ones never gave me an issue at the drags...lol

Soon and not much actually, but rather not commit to either yet as third party involved.

As for weight at the time I was half joking but then Bozman would probably only be 65kg maybe 70kg and you guys would be over a cosy 100 kg's. Bozman is Mr Energy and good stuff. Hey Roy good to here lost some beer storage. Is there a VIC team gearing up for this one?

So who is running??

I have been entered to run 3 cars. Looking forward to the improvements on JP's Zed in PRO, Elias S2000 in OPEN and the AWD thing that I am running that has never seen a track in its life :)

I may run my own 6.0 litre in clubman for a stir :D So that could make it 4 lol

Hey Nathan are you around?

I saw this rule in clubsprint class:

• All vehicles entering the Superlap Clubsprint Class must have a full interior. The only exception is for vehicles which have a half cage which needs the back seat to be removed.

I've got no interior trim but the car is still over factory weight (about 1500kg). Can it run in clubsprint?

Nathan you need to answer my question if I am going to enter - I can't enter an over factory weight, standard car in open. But I would be willing to have a fling in clubsprint.

So their goes 2L RWD Open :D Can i tie a bungee chord to the back of the S200 so that way i am at least a chance of second :) Serious question, what do you think the car will do with good tyres?

Not sure Roy as we are changing a few things on it. I hope it can compete for outright open. Will just have to see who and what enters. I have even convinced Elias to put a cage in it :)

What would you rather...a STD overweight car in opens with grip...or the same car in clubman with none ?

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
