ooooh very nice!... is it wrong I feel like licking the paintwork... geez Mick does some good work

ps. get some tire shine on those RE55's Snowy!

LOL - look it was 37 degs or something when I got the car. It was FAR to hot to do all the nice little things. It was almost too hot to taken any pictures let alone be fancy with them.

Hopefully one day shortly I'll get a couple more good shots. Complete with the black rims and tyre shine (just for you Nick).

Haha - less than 2 weeks. My 1st rally is on Jan 31st in Tassie. The car is being entered as a 2005 Nismo GT-R Z Tune (hence why I've done the kit).

Looks really nice andrew, I love the agressinve look of the Z tunes.

if the car is being entered into a rally as a Z tune, doesnt it have to actually be a Z tune. when they have a closer look at the car surely they would be able to tell if its the real deal?

good luck with it anyway!

Regarding competition stickers.

Why don't you buy some "paint friendly" vynle, that is somewhat easy to remove, stick the competition stickers on your vynle, then cut around the sticker and stick that to your car. This would make the removal of the stickers easier and will not peel the clear coat off your car.

The sponsors of the event really don't give a shit what adhesive they use on their stickers and if it marks/strips the paint on a car. Just an idea to keep the car looking mint, after the event has come and gone.

looks nuts dude.

question why not do the skirts in black to match the lip and more Z Tune like??? but looks hot either way

wanna sell me you stock GTR bonnet??? lol

cant believe such a hot car is only a race car :) (or is it road registered as well???)

cant wait to see this in flesh at deca or next track day.

its road registered as far as i know. you might even see it around

Well given basically none of the N1 GT-R's doing targa are actual N1's the short answer is no it doesn't matter that it's not the genuine article. You can follow guidelines and build a "replica" which is the common thing to do for many of the cars including EVO's (RS) and WRX's (Spec C, 22b etc) amoungst other cars. Then of course there is the classics. I think you'd find a large % of the entrants are in non-genuine cars simply because the genuine ones cost far to much to buy and then butcher into race cars! Hell even the 2 well know Lambo Superlegga's aren't genuine ones (just standard Gallardo's) and I bet by the time Targa rolls around we'll see a couple of R35 GT-R Spec V's listed as well.

As for the Nav Age - James is doing the job first up and Dan is stepping in for April.

nice paint job there i had my car done at mi colour when this car was there and i have to say the work done at this place is 100%

now it is a Race car and this nice paint job will be stuffed as soon as u hit the track lol

Well I just picked the car up from Mick @ Micolour who has finished fitting the new Z Tune kit and spraying the whole car.

It's come up brilliantly (pics don't do it justice - will have to get some better ones later but it's too hot out there right now). But I'm wrapped with how it's turned out :P

Looks great!

is it the nismo z-tune bits, which are about 1500 USD for the l/r front wings alone, or are they look-alikes?

does the engine vent through the sides now, any decrease in temps?

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car

    • All my Polish car culture insight comes from watching Nightride. So I half expect this to get 1UZ swapped eventually?! Are you going to drive it in winter? I'm always curious how ATTESA would hold up in the snow. There isn't that much opportunity to try it in Australia.
