I was keeping an eye out for Doof. No wonder I didnt spot you.

I got a good suprise when I went to get my jacket out of the boot and realised I had left it in the Forester back at Penrith. Bbbbrrrrrrrrrr, cold :D

That's why you were in your car a lot of the time...

I think there were a few incidences when people didn't realise the car they were looking at had people sitting in it.

My mate was staying warm inside my car while I was out and about... at one point, one of the Envy girls was standing in front of my car but then turned around to adjust her clothing. My mate got a pretty good (unexpected view) ;)

HAHA lucky him lol.

Thanks for organizing the cruise, we had a bit of fun and it was good to be out and see so many nice cars on the day. Shame about the weather though .. I froze my ass off after "volunteering" my jacket to a silly girl that came in very light clothing .. luckily we still had a blanket to wrap ourselves in.

Note to self - bring extra warm clothing whenver going to the mountains next time, even if its sunny.

I had an awesome day and it was a pleasure to be out again. :D

Special thanks to Pete (STYLN) for the shotgun seat and the steer on the way home, You bastard I want another Stagea now!!! LOL

Thanks to Tez & Co. for organising the event, Next time make sure the air temps are a touch warmer - I couldn't feel my hands after about 15mins lol.

Overall though it was an awesome day out. :D

no problems at all x! mate it was just great to have someone along for the ride and to introduce me a bit. Needless to say i was a lil nervous. Been a long time since ive been that excited to attend a cruise, and i must say despite the freezing cold temps at the mountain it was a top notch day!

I especially enjoyed the drive up the mountain and back. Via galston gorge was awesome btw!!! HAHAHAHA

Thanks to everyone that organised it and made it work!

cheers

pete ;)

great vid Takz ;) Sounded far worse from where we were standing but doesn't look like it was over the top at all

So umm who's coming to Wakefield on Saturday?? If I can get a helmet and brakes bled before then I might be signing up just to see what the car can do on the track!

MRGTR911,

Seriously just drop it. Andrew is having an opinion. Whether it is from a business perspective, or a personal perspective.

Personally i share the same view. Everyone was made aware at the drivers briefing, that we did not want any one driving like an idiot. Some people did. And us as organisers were not happy with this. Launching hard is fine. That wasn't the issue. People spinning the tyres and acting like idiots at the start tarnishes the whole cruise. What would've happened if the police showed? The entire thing would've been shut down. There would've been defects galore..and everyone would've had the sh*ts.

And i'm assuming by the way your arking up about it you were one of the people Andrew is talking about?

Hey im all sweet all i was saying was not to target certain people when realisticly everyone was doing it , His mates actually started it so everybody else just followed , just watch the video and see for yourself and im pretty sure launching hard isnt fine as you say ( i dont think cops would enjoy watching people doing hard launches as you say if fine )

anyways im over it , pics look good , Once again terry and Euge done well .....

If you still had Xmetal in your car on the way through the gorge I'm surprised he didn't make you pop in to say hi! I live just up the road from the gorge!

thanks for all the comments about the vid i had to quickly edit it or you would just hear me say "HERE THEY COME" "HERE WE GO AGAIN'

nice video takz

and thanks to Tai/Mr Cali for the pic of my car lol

i was the guy in the r33 who creamed his bar into pavement trying to park and anger quit it towards the cafe for lunch haha

also remember asking your friend about the specs of your new rears he just told me they were "megadish" haha

hope you dont mind me finding out the specs from the sticker on the rim?

straight out, best part was the 2 gtrs dumping it coming out . so stop ur sulking and get the hell over it.

one more thing someone might like to clear up for me, and i mean no offence by this, but howww did that black gtr win BEST exterior. undoubtedly that silver gtr (FLYT34 plates), or that blue tommi kaira gtr and the white MINES gtr were ALOTTTT more appealing exterior wise.

all in all not a bad event

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
