Hi all,

It's been a while since I've posted here again...busy with work and other stuff, I guess...well, my front bar is so cracked that it's not worth fixing, so it is time to get a new front bar...I've done so snooping around and I've decided to go with the Top-Secret style front bar - what do you guys think?

However, unlike the GTR front bar, the front gaps where the front indicators go is so large, I am thinking of leaving it bare to expose my intercoolers' piping, but this raises the question where the heck do I put the front indicators then? Any suggestions fellas? I was thinking of drilling two holes at the front close to the intercooler and put them there (a bit like the 400R style front bars)...what do you guys think?

Then again, some people put tiny rectangular-looking front indicators just on the corners of those huge gaps...where can I get these those? Hence, I need as much advice as I can get...thanks...

Dont do it mate, If you ever get defected you will need to put the parkers back and then fit indicators. Do it properly the first time. Go to autobarn, you can buy small led indicators for like $30. Solder the wires and your done.

love this front bar :P im guessin for parker/indicator just hook up the wires from the indicator to the parker bulb housing, change to orange LED and bingo! could be wrong. might need some other parts but thats how it works in my head :s lol. personally, i wouldnt do the whole blinker where the parker is. as Kris said, defect will be a problem. id find some nice looking LED lights from an electronics shop/autobarn/supercheap etc and chuck those on. u could even make ur own with parts from Jaycar.

Hi mate,

So Autobarn sells indicators? Never knew that.

Cheers.

this guy has indicators, easy peasy to install and they look nice and neat.

Yeah, I guess it's pretty easy to hook up, but the question is where can I get these indicators from?

places like Auto one and Repco sell all sorts of universal indicators like that

just go in and pic the shape and size you need

Oh ok, I never knew Reco and Autobarn sell stuff like universal indicators. Cool, thanks mate...I'll go in and pick out something...cheers.

incorrect globe wattage or globe out...

as far as legalities are concerened... some people drill a hole in their highbeams and put the parkers in there...

personally i cant see a cop ever pulling me over because he noticed i dont have parkers..... srsly

sometimes if your indicators flash too quickly, the cops can think you have an indicator out, and pull you over to warn you. Happens quite frequently when you change to LED indicators without the right wattage or resistance.

Ok fellas, well I went to Repco and bought some slim front indicators for $18 each, they look awesome...so flush at the front where the big round things were...makes the GTR front bar look so much better.

i got some slimline ones and put them in the nostrils... and then tinted them.. you could hardly tell, and they were completly legal.

Wow, interesting concept...got pics??? :)

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
