i wouldnt be cutting wires going to the ecu, something is bound to fcuk up!

true -perhaps a small resistor could stop that f**k up?

not sure if i would wanna have no ABS like craig...maybe the fact that i have ABS makes me not dead yet

by doing the Throttle position reset or?

is there a way to do it in the informeter??

No, in the Settings on the Informeter you can set the Range for voltage under the Percentage. I set my max as 4.12v as advised by Iain.

I guess if Iain is seeing 86% on the Nismo and still has the voltage scale set to 5.0v, then he is really getting 100% throttle opening.

you need to learn to threshold brake mate. ABS is for people who cant drive :P

a resistor wont help, remember most stuff is transmitted via the CAN

mate you could be the best driver in the world.. doesnt mean u dont need to stop for another idiot on the road.

Aaron....I have ABS......what I don't have is a properly bleed Attessa system!...hence the reason it's sometimes 4WD and sometimes 2WD...bit like a lucky dip.

I will tell you though....It's awesome launching in 2WD with wheel spin and locking up the front diff!

i figured out how to do this by the way lol.

as in the attessa bleeding. give me a shout later on. i did it to the 34gtr my GF's brother owns.. worked fine.

So THAT"s why my 4WD light is lighting up...

fluids are full, yet light comes on now and then. Weird, only starting happening this week. Maybe there's a airloc somewhere...

try doing it in the city next to someone who thinks its a volvo. i need LSD so i dont spin up only 1 wheel

because then the brake lights are off too! not exactly safe if you accidently leave the switch in the wrong position

agreed.

but surely they would run off different lines(lights) and compared to the ECU.

nah the ECU would just use the pedal switch. it has the electric 'signal'.

i believe attesa is disabled when the brakes are on too. hence us being able to bag up the rears. as soon as you let off the brake, attesa kicks in and the fronts launch you away!

i beg to differ on that one.. i dont think it would make a difference, if the rears were spinning up the attessa would alert the front to spin.. otherwise it shouldnt work at all.. i would probably say perhaps the distribution ratio is different, but not disabled.. my thought anyway..

to launch the car. are you some kind of moron? lol

lol what do you mean, do u think Nissan wants us to launch the car? im pretty sure they would keep the attessa on to defend us spinning up the wheels and launching it... that way its "as safe as possible"

Knowing nissan Japan, they wont build a family wagon and say but we are going to allow them to spin wheels so lets disable attessa when the brakes on.

highly unlikely IMO

anyway ill test it tonight at scotts.. he has a torque distro thingy. hopefully it works..

yeah none of us have that up here so let us know.

im also talking about US launching the car, not the general populace.

yeh you could definitely be right, but he hasnt got time to look at it as apparently hes spinning everything up at acceleration..

let you know!

    • Its also worth mentioning that 30 years after it left the factory and god knows how many missed oil changes since, there is every possibility that one or more lifters are ticking because they are sticky/gummed up. To resolve that you need to pull the cams then pull each lifter, disassemble, clean, reassemble, soak in oil and re-install, and they should come up good as new.
    • What air filter are you running? Is it a panel filter in the stock air box, or a pod filter? Is the air filter the type that is oiled?   If you unplug the IACV, what rpm does the engine idle at?
    • Reading through the engine service manual their advice is do a cylinder balance test. Unplug one injector at a time and see if the idle drops a consistent RPM. You can also do this using a Consult cable which is easier. They also call for unplugging the power transistor, then with the engine off and the fuel rail unhooked from the manifold verifying that you have good fuel flow (even injection, no dripping/leaks, etc) when you twist the CAS by hand. Also verify the spark by pulling the spark plugs and allowing the plugs to ground and turning the CAS by hand. I would also start doing the sensor checks and idle valve checks in service manual. Make sure the MAF tests reasonably, the intake air regulator is sane, etc. You may have to get new spark plugs.
    • This sounds very old of me, however since buying the Tiguan shit box, my view on shit boxes have changed.
    • I've looked up the parts number (41011AL501). It's around $700 OEM. Usually our Infiniti G35 here in Canada have interchangeable parts with my Stagea but the parts number are not the same. I have looked around and it seems the JDM 2005 V35 Skyline (which is the same as our G35) has the same caliper but I cannot confirm. And I can't find a repair kit. The inner brake pads drags on the rotor, seems to be rusty piston. Thanks for the info by the way
