Unfortunately not until new year now, won't start it again without the correct balancer.

She punched out a massive 200hp on 6psi with some terrible timing

Bonnet didn't shut in the end, fowled on twin turbo pipe, so that's being changed to sit lower.

  • 2 weeks later...
Twin turbo pipe changed, bonnet closes like a dream baby :)

Pick here up monday :)

What pipe are u running out of interest? All i did to mine was remove the twin turbo badge then grind off the boss which held the badge, about 10mm off the height was saved  then craved coatings gave it another fresh coat and it was just enough to clear the bonnet. Have u still cut the bonnet bracing or does your new pipe allow for this?

Hi Marko,

He didn't say (car still in workshop) other than the bonnet closes. He did say he didn't need to cut the bonnet though  i'll see it on Monday and let you know. Great work you were able to make yours fit :)

I can't wait to drive it- it's been 6 months!

hahah, simon i fly into brisbane monday, i'll come drive the 4door home for you, just to get to see the 3ltr gtr up close :D

Haha My 3ltr bottom end gets sent this week finally, yay, so i might start my own 3ltr build thread soon !

Gary

Could you clarify on the "modded mounts" please

takes about 5mins.... ours literally sits on the xmember... we have to re weld removed material to bring it back up a bit .

If i drop the xmember 15mms and do you think i could fit this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v489/r32...at/DSC01070.jpg

hi-mount turbo without affecting the suspension/awd? (HKS kit which currently needs the bonnet frame hacked to clear)

Same turbo kit as this car

i dont think dropping the engine 15mm will solve the problem - besides that, when the engine twists under load it will still touch the bonnet bracing.

are u sure u want to drop the engine lower? ...i was advised by rob @ rips not to do this as it changes the geometry of some of the important components i.e. cv joints

Cheers for that Marko, guess i have to find another way to make it fit :D

sorry for hi-jacking your thread Simonster

well i cut my bonnet to fit my rb26/30 (to clear the cam shaft covers & twin turbo intake pipe) - if u dont like the look of cutting the bracing u can simply just refit the bonnet insulation & u wouldn't even know it has been modified :D

    • Oh, I forgot too, all the multimedia stuff captured and sold through things like people playing Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go specifically, can actually be traced all the way back to a CIA investment company too. So yep, they're watching everything. Not to mention the new stuff where they've worked out how to use WiFi signals to be able to map occupants inside of a building. That one would be something that I see being more used in public/government buildings, as you need to understand the signals when the room has no one in it first. It's not as easy as Hollywood would like you to think it is.
    • Followed ☺️ Assuming those are NEO rods, then at least 400kW all day.
    • Lets keep this going , Spotted this very stock V35 in Penrith and also saw a nice R32 FLY past me on Castlereagh rd , sounded really good.
    • Great work! Give it a clean up with some Emery paper, and I'd run a thread die over the threads too to clean them up. It will make reinstall much easier, and also life easier for the next time it needs to come out.
    • I'm not a fan of high humidity, it's one reason I don't mind being further inland out Ipswich, except the last 3 odd years, the drought broke, and it won't stop raining, which is making the humidity nearly unbearable when the rains are in during summer! For me, my body hates the cold, once the cold sets into my body, I'm totally screwed. I end up with severe muscle spasm in my back/shoulder muscles, and it feels like someone is trying to tear the muscles out. I have no issues with it getting stupid hot, so long as the humidity goes away. So the last 3 years as above, have been woeful! Ha ha. However, June 1st, and I'm only just converting from shorts and a tee, to long pants and a t shirt. And that's mainly as it's a bit wet and miserable and I wanted to work on a car.
