Have been considering these as well

Rays GTS in gunmetal.

18x9 +1 type A fronts

18x9 +23 type C rears

Both have a huge outer 100mm rim. . .nice

GT-c's would be

18x9 +5 type A Face 2 fronts

18x9 +25 type C Face 2 rears

73mm of rim

or

18x9 +12 type A Face 1 fronts

18x9 +35 type C Face 1 rears

80mm of rim

As new, they are a guy I know's, He has always looked after his car and rims... Could correct the rolling diameter with tyre profile, or do you want 18x9?

F: 18" x 8" + 23 (Advan RS2 semi slicks, just under the markers)

R 18" x 9" +21 (Michelin Pilot Sport 2's, also under the markerS)

18x9-1

18x10+19

GTCSilver.jpg

pretty much perfect for your needs

But the rears will hang out the rear guards an extra 24mm!!

Call me soft, but I do not want to run heaps of negative camber and streched tyres to make them sort of fit.

I just do not think that looks good and I do not want any tyre rubbing. It is suppose to be a dialy driven car.

The fronts would fit OK.

Tomorrow morning I am trial fitting a pair of Rays GTS in gold 18x9 +31 just to see if the GTS suits the car or not

Will post pic's for comment

Whatever you do, stick with a Jap branded wheel.

You could go with the usual suspects such as GTCs, LMGT4s or TE37s but its good to be different.

I have been liking the Weds Sport range lately SA70s, SA97F, generally because they are not everywhere.

I think one of the worse things is to rock up somewhere and you have the same wheels as the next person.

Most come in bronze, silver etc with the fitment you are after and have a blue anodised line that will compliment your paint.

I have gone right off mesh and dish, and some lightweight race rims were the go.

Also, I dont think many people have talked about lug nuts, I went with Project Kics heptagon caliber 24s.

These are high quality steel 7 sided with a titanium coating so you dont need lock nuts or to worry about stripping or rounding.

The colour is perfect too.

Try these guys, they have a good range and a sale on certain wheels till the end on the month.

Happy shopping. Flawless Masa R34GTR front build, I cant wait to see under the bonnet.

I like how the modifying scene is so much like the clubbing scene. U dont want to go out n see someone with the same shirt. Just like u don't want someone to have the same mags or kit as u.

why don't you speak to thuy about spliting the set i posted, and buying the 9-1's from that for the front then the pair of 9+25's aswell. would be a nice fitting combo all round and you could get the centres coated whatever colour you want :)

I did consider that, but the fronts would have a 80mm rim and the rear 73mm. Not cool.

Trail fitted a set of Rays GTS in 18's just to see what they look like on the car.

These wheels are bascially new and are a great buy, but only 18x8 on ths fronts with my 25mm spacer they were still not wide enough. No dish either.

Rears are 18x9 +31, I think Type B disk.

What are your thoughts.

hey Darrin im not a fan of them, i think the 34 gtr wheels look better. I think gold on a blue car doesnt really go myself, i'd stick to something like a charcoal or gunmetal look with possibly some polished dish. I think you also need aggresive offsets or wheels that look good on gtr look terrible in flat offsets. A 10' +20 wont fit without scrubbing or a shitload of camber as i tried it the other day, though i just got hold of an autech cradle which is 25mm narrower each side so that means they will sit pretty much same as a 9 +30 rim which = perfect but not sticking out gaurds. the 10" +20 is perfect for the front also.

Thats my thoughts, everyone always has there own opinion :D

Some black centre meisters with polished dish would look awesome and classy/tough as the black is glossy. Or even some polished meisters would be hot too. work emotions cr kai in tough offsets also look the goods. So many options you just have to decide what u personally like :)

that rim design makes them look smaller than they are, which isn't a good thing on something as large as the stagea. could also be the tyre profile - looks like a 45?

i'm with unique1, the gold doesn't sit well with me against the paint colour BUT it's your car so who really gives a toss what we think

I have to agree with the last few comments the gold rays don't look that good. I think they actually look smaller than the GTR rims and they seem a bit fussy too. I think the car is so good you really need to compliment it with relatively simple rims so that it doesn't draw your attention from the rest of the car but compliments the whole package. For this reason I reckon a set of nice 1 piece jap rims e.g. Work, Rays, Weld whatever but in a simple 5 spoke style.

If you are after dish can I suggest something like this, I believe it is an ASA rim

Or if you are after street racer style (My personal preference)

Sorry mate... not a fan i agree with those for the darker grey rims... but its a difficult decision you have thought outside the square a heap with this build and i guess the rim selection should follow the same path.

I'm just thinking a good amount of dish and chrome outer rim but unsure of the inside... good luck with it

Yep, sorry to say Darrin, but I agree with everyone else - either stick with the '34 GT-R rims or get something in a gunmetal or titanium finish, the gold looks a bit lacking against such a vibrant colour.

darring just to add a bit. just cause u go black/grey spoked mags doesn't mean they cant be different. go more spokes ie everyone goes for the 5 spoke rims. find something with 8, 9, 10. with chrome dish.

I might give the rims a miss for a while. Searched for 3 hours last night and still could not find something

The main problem I have due to needing an extra 25mm offset on the front than the rears, any 1 peice forged or cast rim will look funny on the front if I do not run spacers and try to increase the offset with the rim. I.E more concave on the fronts than the rears.

Best to stick with 2/3 peice rims so that I can have the same dish front and rear.

I have parked the today. Tomorrow night I will start stripping the full front. Time to paint the engine bay, fit the new turbo and tune etc.

At this stage it will take me approx 5-6 weeks to complete.

those wheels look awesome! anyone know the exact model/name and where/who to get them from?? would love a set in 19s.....

D.

My dream rims are these Enkeis:

Enkei_GTC01.JPG

Not sure if they come in your offset, but IMO they look awesome and simple - 5 double-spokes - and they're available in a finish called 'hyper black' - kinda a speckled gunmetal grey. They're light too apparrently they're race rims. Not light on the budget though at nearly $700 a rim last time I checked, but that's still cheaper than a lot of sets.

    • I'm selling my personal race car. 1992 BNR32 Skyline GT-R About eight years ago the engine developed the dreaded low oil pressure problem. I removed it and found the issue. However shortly after I moved half way across the country, moved my work shop, bought a house, got married, then moved my shop again to it's permanent location for the time being. in turn I do not have the time to race this car as it should be. In turn the engine I built for this car will end up in my street car and this car I hope finds a home with someone who can use it to it's full potential. The roll bar was built by Jason Noren Fabricaiton in Pomona California to SCCA and NASA Specs. The car used to compete in redline time attack and global time attack enthusiast class. It also has a fire suppression system.  The car is with me at my workshop in Kyle Texas, USA. Shipping it is no problem, I can personally deliver the car to the port of either Houston or Los Angeles. Any other port depending on where it is may require transport but we can always work that out.   The chassis itself is rust free, rear quarters and under fenders are free of any rust so it's a very solid foundation for anyone who wishes to move forward with it. As posted and at the asking price of $20,000 USD the car includes all of the following;   All OEM Body panels, front fenders, rear bumpers etc.  OEM Nissan Projector headlamps (Pictured N1 lamps were removed) OEM Nismo Side Skirts / Extensions OEM Rear Spats  Front & Rear Subframes are installed car is full roller Rear Subframe has Cusco Camber Arms, Whiteline HICAS Elimination Front Subframe has Whiteline tension rods and whiteline Sway bars w/ endlinks.  Buddy Club N1 Coilovers All chassis wiring and engine wiring is in tact. Attessa System is fully in tact and was functional before engine removal.  BCNR33 GT-R Brembo Brakes F+R with Endless MX72 Plus Pads, DBA Rotors & Stainless Steel Brake lines Billion Racing Radiator Billion Radiator Hoses Fluidyne Engine Oil Cooler Accusump System (trunk Mounted) 5 Speed Transmission w/ Transfer Case F+R Prop-shafts Rear Differential With rear Axles.  Nismo Gauge Cluster Nismo Clutch + Flywheel   Essentially what is needed to make this car running and driving again is as follows: A working Engine, an ECU, and time to put it together. The price posted is or best offer as I am willing to remove some components to accommodate price to a certain extent. If any serious buyer wants full detailed pictures, videos, or any questions I'll be happy to answer them. I believe this car is priced to move quickly considering it's a rust free and very straight chassis but always open to fair negotiation.  I can be contacted via phone or email. • So...to my (and my mechanics doing the swap) surprise...the oil pan from NEO engine does not fit 100% and needs to by modified like this: It is not a huge problem but in the future i want a "proper" oil pan. So question is...what different oil pan can i get to fit without any problems and modification? Thanks!
    • Some more info I found.  These are the last entries Yoshikiyo Fujii made on his blog before he passed away in 2009: http://blog.livedoor.jp/fujii_dynamics/ And finally this is where the workshop was situated:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/HhTPtHzt3WVcBTiEA
