Just put an air shifted g-force box in it..at least you can still say its manual and you wont have to worry about sorting out converters..

what about picking up the milk and bread though...you cant down shift.

With your new setup and stoopid fuel, what is the power band like with your new setup Paul? Your car used to be only a suspension change and a decent brake kit away from being similar to Mark and Russ's old R32, albeit a tad less sharp because of the extra weight. But it seems you are moving more and more away from an all rounder. Not a bad thing, just curious to know whether you have already crossed that line wih the big single or whether it will be with the gearbox!??!?!?!?

very narrow....its silly...i want my twins back Roy

I know of someone who can be talked into selling his GTRS's to go bigger

Mine were not quite off the shelf items. Its those that i really need...otherwise id have to see if i could get them modified again. They had yellow dot actuators too...yours would be green dot items.

Domonic Rigoli told me that you know the car i have its robs old white one,he managed a 10.02 @143 on mickey Ts. I have only got a 11.1 @129 on 18 psi and 245x18 nexens.

even my car ran an 11.4 on dead turbos and street tyres.. with a full circuit setup :)

One of the reasons i got rid of my 9 second street car...& then got a gtr .

Gtr's to me were a good all rounder ,fast street, circuit, drag ...you can do much more with one than my pain in the ass ,cranky aspirated chevy on alcohol.

Dont get me wrong i love drag racing..but it can be f*ckin boring waithing in staging lanes all day lucky to get a couple of passes.

Although i do miss being able to mash the throttle at 100 k's...& paint black lines on the freeway for a couple hundred metres.

I think gtr's should be kept manual & as close to original type setups as possible...to me it seems kind of silly to turn a zilla into a back half , tube chassis,or glide with transbrake type of car and still call it a streetcar..to me doing that loses its appeal.

Each to there own though.

( I like dirt's gtr because its still original looking, fast,& retains most things as nissan designed it)

With You all the way there Mate,

Sounds like we come from a very similar background. Good to hear.

Cheers SCOOP.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
