lol nah the lollies were melted and who knows how old! I found some coins too...

Discovered how terrible the local nissan mechanic was when they told me that had no idea what the 100,000km service needed then proceeded to try and read the full japanese log books... I mean I can read Japanese but it was too much fun to watch them scratch their heads.... clearly I found a different mechanic...

Dont know how many keiko hata's there would be! haha not too many I presume.

Maybe try and get in touch with them and confirm!?

If so, please let us know how you go ;)

Damn, I wana find something like this in my car so I can track down her original owner and gain a better understanding of her history!

dang. seems to be a popular name.

I'm sorry to let you know that I never owned a Nissan car. Keiko Hata is a fairly popular name in Japan, so I suppose that someone with a same name once owned it, but not me. Hope you find the person someday.

Best,

Keiko

Hey guys and girls (and those of you who fit into both categories),

Have any of you ever found anything cool in your sunvisor pocket? i found a few jap coins and some japanese food receipts! I keep them in there.

Anyone else found anything cool in there? If you havent looked, go now - i'll wait for you.

Or anyone have a tale to tell about stuff they found anywhere else in their car when it was imported?

I love free stuff haha - who doesnt?

Cheers!

Hi, after the first clean of my skyline I found the flare which i believe was ment to be removed when made compliant, I also found a Japanese sun visor with a stupid ugly cartoon on it.

in addition to the photo of the two jap girls on the sun visor, the other day i was cleaning the car and found under the pass seat a kenwood GPS system and also some japanese coins...

Had my windows tinted the other day and the guy found $ 17.85 AUD$ i went halves with, why not he was honest. when i brought the cat i found a pesel, some weird Jap lollies and a Malaysion coin. and a cd stacker in the wheel arch.

ooh ooh

just found a whole bunch of crap in the boot, in the passanger side wheel arch.

1x rusty 8" Sidchrome shifter

2x screw drivers

1x house phone line wall socket

1x wooden handle screw driver

1x japanese something wrapper covered in what appears to be sticky tar

i was cleaning up the boot and I found some rusty fishing hooks with japanese writing and an empty condom wrapper, also in japanese - which now makes me a bit uneasy when sitting in the back.

Not me, but my mate was replacing a window regulator in his 33 and found two used syringes :S

Some of my mates have found flares.... I want a flare dammit

Just think how many Japanese shoolgirl cherries have been popped in there :D

had a funny rolling noise in the door on hard accel, and decel.

finally opened it up, and found a spray bottle, non aerosol, no idea what it is as theres no english writing on it, im think maybe breath freshener, glasses cleaner, maybe de-oderiser or some sort.

has a small green mint leaf on it, and almost full. no real smell, and im not willing to spray it in my mouth to find out.

    • http://calfinn.com.au/product/1500kg-standard-trolley-jack-cj-2t-c/1500kg-standard-trolley-jack-cj-2t-c   I have this and fits under a S3 33 GTR with no issues. Purchased in 2009 and not one issue. It was $950 back then. Not cheap but something so important isn’t worth cheaping out on.
    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
