just wondering if anyone else got pulled over in the SE suburbs of Victoria tonight with the recent blitz that the police are running. i went to knox city and as i entered the complex immediately the cops pulled me up for a breath-o then told me they were goin to excort me to the back of knox for a full vehicle inspection.

my car was fine so i was allowed to leave as my car is fully legal, but as we left we went and parked in the carpark and had a chat with my mate who purchased a 180sx today.

while we were chatting nother cop car came (peddit) proceeded to inspect my mate 180sx and dicked him for multiple things. the shit thing is that he purchased the car that same day with a roadworthy but still has to get stuck with a fine and shit, needless to say we are taking it up with the roady joint and if they dont want a huge fine from vic-roads, i think they will probably fix the car quick smart.

i know i saw another r33 there parked on side with no front bar on it and a big frount mount hanging out of it haha

best not to go to hot spots this w.e aparently lots of ppl getting done

we didnt even go there to do anything/ show off. we went to pick up my mates missus.

at one point there were (no exaggeration) 4 cars around us for 1 car to inspect, lemme know how that is using the police in a beneficial way for anyone!

i got stopped 3 times while trying to leave and go home but i was fine coz my car is all good.

^^agreed...dont go and catch the drug dealers just go and hunt down imports....it depends on ur luck really

cos catching drug dealers is exactly what the Traffic Management unit is for.

Hell, why don't we get the ambo's to look into petty theft and the firefighters to provide security on the trains at night while we're at it?

Come off it, everyone knew there was a blitz on this weekend, and that the police even stated that they would be targetting the local spots and suburbs. If you still get caught driving an illegally modded car, then its just either bad luck or not enough thought put into it on your part.

i saw a white r33 getting done by a cop outside knox city tonight, along with a shit load of terroity cop cars and undercovers around tonight. they seemed to have been in weird areas

was that out the front of fridays by any chance haha

i went past a cop car with a radar gun, working with a undercover police bike, so they would target both sides of the road at the same time.

lucky i was driving in the morning to buy some new engine oil and my car is prety stock and would only get done for height

i got done at knox when i was about to head home =[ i said to mates i didnt wanna go anywhere that night just home and i get done leaving..

yeah i spoke to the guy with front mount hanging out and no front bar, was on his p's.

few other lines in their, como's, wrxs.

i got done for EPA 99db, and bald tyres which i had planned to get fixed in few days. + $190 fine on top of it.

spewing about the exhaust i love the sound of mine, and theres no way im having a gay silencer welded in.

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate
    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
