whats the 910 for? are you using it for a lift pump? you will need at least two if you are using it for a main pump.

will you make anzac day or is it too soon?

ool, thanks for that Matt :)

Well 2 Dunlop Slicks turned up at my work yesterday  Thanks to a Mr John Pelingon

aswell as a Bosch 910 External fuel pump and bracket, So im sorting out fuel lines and stuff now...might have to modify my surge tank though as the 910 has a 13.5mm feed fitting and my surge tank is 3/8 from memory.

So now im just waiting on another SAU NSW'er to sell his rims so i can grab 4 more Dunlop slicks.

So really all I have to do is tidy a bit of wiring, dry-ice the interior and mount the harness and ill be out on track:

Oh that reminds me...does anyone know of a bolt in Harness bar for the skylines?

Thanks

Andrew

Dammit, Dont say that..i was under the impression that the 910 would flow enough for what i need.

Might have to get a 2nd one then :)

Isn't the 910 the new 044? If so on pulp it should handle it fine.

A New toy turned up today, Thanks to stevo :P

Also going to play with the car a bit on the weekend, going to make up some ign coil mounts, and buy some ign leads to suit the holden v6 coils ill run for a little while.

I may have a chance to look at the harness mounts.

Plazmaman make a good looking water to air kit

I'm using one on the supra when I get around to modding that. I'm looking forward to stable inlet temps! Also I'm a huge fanboy of throttle response so reducing intercooler pipe length can't hurt that at all

I don't actually, if memory serves me I had to get one from a computer store, or maybe microtech direct. Hard to remember that long ago sorry

I like the plazaman heat exchangers better though, but for the price difference it's probably not worth the effort and expense of mixing and matching kits!

I've just had a big look around the house for it, definatly not here

the plazaman ones look like the heat exchanger has a better design and better sizes, also their pumps look really, really good

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
