Has Anybody Done A 1/4 Mile In Their R35?

Recommended Posts

Totally stock. Driver only, full tank. Launch at approx 2200 RPM.

How many runs did you do and what mode did you find works best?

Did you use manual or auto shift?

Did you use LC?

thx!

I am planning a run at Eastern Creek in about three weeks with an ADM with HKS GT570 Kit plus Cobb Custom Tune installed. I will let you know the time soon...

I had it set on RRR and let the car do the shifting. It was just the one run using RaceChrono software on my Nokia N95 with a Qstarz BT-Q890 nano 66 Ch 5Hz GPS receiver. It was 3.84 secs to 100 kph and the road was a bit dusty which may have helped, maybe not. Can't really tell but it spun a bit more than usual off the line but didn't bog as much as a result.

I stalled it a bit but not fully to 3000 rpm so again maybe theres a bit more to be had..

Good work Duncan :)

Nice trap speed too!

Thanks Martin, yeah 125mph is haulin for such a heavy car.

Here is a 125mph run (11.3's though) ignore the reaction time as the driver was frigging around with launch control

Hello All

Have any of you guys taken your R35 down the 1/4 mile yet? If so, what times have you recorded?

12.01 at 158mph (launch control)

158mph? wow that's a new world record!

- must have been at Heathcote, lol.

lol,

11.92 at 194km/h @ Eastern Creek. (Not one good Launch control start)

Mid pipe only, terrible 0-100 times (4.1) They kept wetting the burnout area which I had to drive through.

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
