intercooler is gone was 22kgs.. the weight saving was far more important than the cooling..

of course we have done other things to help with charge temps...tuning etc..

we ran 10 psi less boost with the new turbo so the engine side is all happy..

we learned we meed some stiffer rear springs .

bigger rear tyres if possible...

a driver that shifts at the correct shift point not 1000rpm late and locks the clutch up solid in every gear..

hence car out of control..too many late nights.....

and need to private hire the track to get all this sorted...

cheers, mark

  • 4 weeks later...

just got back from the summernationals in sydney...

we had 2 runs before the rain hit..

8.2 at 176mph with a 1.68 60ft... the the line lock was playing up and crept in stage on the 2step.

left with no boost went 136mph at 1/2 track down 12mph....so 40 mph from 1/2 track is promissing..

went 1.6 60ft in the second run 8.1 at 174mph.. car crept again before i could even antilag it...

anyway thats racing... we had it all fixed for the 3rd qualifier when the rain hit...

bloody long drive for 2 runs.. ha ha
