Well not yet but if i keep pulling things apart it might.....what i am wondering is..

.IS it possible to make 190rwkw and 600nm of torque with a standard 45v2 turbo 2 3/4 exhaust with 4 inch cannon apexi pod full of dust ,, 550cc injectors ?? fuel pump.. at 11psi with a bunnings bleed tap .the ecu says nothing other than re-manufactured and doesnt appear chipped though speed limiter is removed...

does this sound about right

or am i the victim of an over excited dyno...it was fairly new and power was applied liberally..i didnt buy anything of him either so he had no need to talk it up. i just paid 50$ for a quik run...power seems good but i have no idea where its coming from

Thanx mate..ill take your word 4 it then..I'm tired of thinking about it

I was told bigger injectors and the fuel pump had been done , he said 550 but wasnt sure..im starting to wonder if they were done at all......

I wish i just didn't care and could just enjoy driving it but i'm a bit of a tech head when it comes to whats in my machine

check the dyno run wasnt done in 3rd gear with shoutout mode off

a typical GTST with basic to very basic/mild mods can peak near 200rwkw in 3rd gear and give misleading results

its fairly normal to make 200rwkw in 4th gear with remap/ecu/piggyback and boost, exhaust, intercooler

the reason i say 3rd gear is - the torque is very high

my gtst with pfc, 3" exhaust, intercooler, splitfires, 12psi, aggressive tune and 4th gear makes around 190rwkw and 500nm ish

a 3rd gear run of my car would net well over 200rwkw and torque would be more and it would avoid stock ecu speed cut too

the reason i am so curious is that i was planning to do all the sort of mods u guys have done , but it appears the power is there already and i have no idea why...i bought it off a friend who imported cars .. he said dont worry just enjoy it....but its driving me bonkers... :) ..haha

it does have a lumpy idle maybe its got cams or something, or is this normal for cannon mufflers

Thats what im trying to find out..think it must be...

yeh same happened with me, thought i had a stock ecu, car made heaps of power on the dyno (2 different dynos). Im pretty sure a stock ecu wont let u boost past 10 or 12? psi. I managed to get it to 14 and it ran fine, so its definately not stock lol

we could only get 11psi with a bleed valve fully open, maybe different now with the turbotech..guess ill just buy a boost gauge and play with it.. i wonder if it would run alright with a slightly bigger or hi flow turbo or would that change everything

Well I used the turbosmart valve and i got a guage so i put it up to almost 1bar, or 14 psi or so. Im running a hi flow turbo, takes the boost pretty well

:rofl2:

Awesome.. do you know one..whats there number?

What about the wrong dyno and a good operator?

Whats wrong mate did the dyno eat your car?..

Cheer up, the world is beautiful..xcept for mondays :O

Yeah it probably would, but it would be maxing the afm out. your injectors (if they are 550cc) will take it, and hi flow's are good for 250kw, but i wouldnt go any further unless u wanna grenade it and collect it out of the exhaust

    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
