when i went to the Central Coast (nelson Bay) i saw some skylines

when i was on the M4 i saw an r32 gtst at the service station.

I saw a blue ( bayside blue i think ) r33 "SLY-25L" on the Cumberland Highway (where you turn right at "old windor Rd" at wentworthville.)

It had no front bar or left headlight. Intercooler was gone too.

then i saw a woman in a supra

i also saw a black r33 on the cumberland hwy

Then when we arrived in shoal bay ( suburb right next to nelson bay - took 3 hrs 50 mins ) I saw a white R33 gtst around where the beach is.

the potholes were very bad. alot of trucks carrying sand around there ruin the roads. thre made of this soft stuff. i think its bitchumen.

I followed a grey R32 GTS-t (like mine only mine's black) along the freeway on sunday... Dude, you where goin a lil fast wheren't you??? lol... looked kool though 2 of the same car cruising along.... :D

I always see "SXC", the R33 who i think lives down my street... there's also a coupla others down my street (sommerville rd, who are you all???) whenever i see another line i giva wave or a nod n smile... seen latin6 a few times aswell...

Also, while where on the subject... if the following ppl are on here or if ppl here know them (i am often in newy)...

JAP-61X: Can i please have your paint colour code?... not trying to copy u that's just the colour i want...

2FURIS: SWEEEEEET!!!!!

Saw a 4 Door, R34 the other week when driving up the Freeway past Hornsby.

The looked about 50 and I guess it was non turbo, had no wing on the back.

But took awhile to creap up next to him and I saw him looking at the front of my car...

I waited till he caught me looking at him, gave a wave then his arm jumped up and waved back with a grin :(

Onya buddy !

Glad to see, and I'm guessing here, a family man choosing something different and better to the Forad/Holden Cliche

was it grey???

Ummmmmm, trying to remember now.

I think it was.  Couple of weeks ago now.

Why?  Was it you?!   ;)

if the plates were ATS25T then it's a car that is always on the North Shore usually in Turramurra. tis a Silver 4 door R34 GTT. I see him all the time on my way home from work and have been hoping to catch him to tell him about these forums.

He used to drive a Yellow R34 GTT coupe which had quite a few nice goodies on it and sounded awesome!!

I saw a grey R31 parked outside my house earlier today.... oh wait, that's mine :D

I also saw a Black R32 GTS4 outside your house....... oh and I also saw RONIN!!!! OMG that is 1 of the sexiexst MR2's I've ever seen :P

hey roy.....you might know who owns the R33 in richmond..always parked at the richmond pools? it is grey and has a big skylinesaustralia.com sticker on rear window

Sorry wasnt ignoring you... just dont get around these parts all that often, being such a longe drive from out here in the "Boondocks" :P

sounds like Majanal to me

Sounds right...

Running up to the bottle shop of a sunday afternoon in Windsor i usually see a few skylines parked on the river, saw a horn white R32 GTR the other day... have you seen a silver R32 GTR with excellent body/paint/wheels in the area, i use to see it with a blonde girl driving it :D ... but recently saw it with a "fella" driving it

YAY ive been spotted a couple times now :(

i been round the northern beaches and the north shore a fair bit lately

i still havnt seen u prank

u drive ur car much?

If anyone spots this fool and manages to give me his address theres $$ in it for you. Wouldnt mind recovering my stolen goods.

Thanks

Dave.

    • That was the first session so not a lot to take from the day. It was low 20s ambient and the coolant had got to 110 (and obviously had some pressure!) so that still needs to be addressed. I haven't downloaded the data yet but will. I had refilled the auto trans with Redline DT6 because it claimed the best viscosity I could find at 100o. It wasn't really long enough to get a good feel for that; while the trans got to 100o in the session it still wasn't shifting crisply as I hoped. I think I'll try a few more sessions before judging. No steering motor overheat but I'd hope not in only 1 session! But finally the suspension; it was night and day over the standard stuff and the car was a couple of seconds quicker on the same crappy tyres, which is a huge difference. I'll stick with that and get some sway bars and a mechanical diff sorted too and see how that all goes together
    • I guess it’s partially a compromise of how my car is used, wanting to be able to switch from drift to grip with track side on-car adjustment. Also partially with the way the knuckles are set there is more static camber but less dynamic camber gain.
    • OK, so update from the track day on Friday It was a classic "an unfortunate series of events'. There were a few cars around and when i checked my mirror coming out of the fish hook I notice some smoke from the rear of mine. Looked again and it was getting much worse, I figured I'd blown a turbo or something to got off it and pulled off the racing line. However.... since it is a left hairpin into a right kink, I was on the inside of the next corner. There was a car passing me on the left and a big drop off over the ripple strip on the right......and someone had knocked the witch's hat that was on the apex about 1m onto the track. So, between those 3, I decided to mow down the cone and not damage my car/the other car. Right choice, but surprising result.  The car decided the cone was a small pedestrian so it blew the rear bonnet hinges up to protect their head in the upcoming person to car impact....I didn't see that coming and like an airbag deployment it happened super fast. Straight into the pits from there, everything was driving fine but it became clear it was a coolant leak not smoke, it was billowing up onto the windscreen. Onto the trailer and home. I'll do a separate thread about the repair (once I work out what it is ), but the immediate problem was the bonnet wouldn't open because the front was pinched onto the front bar and would not release. Ultimately we unbolted the hinge from the bonnet, pulled it back a little and it released from the front OK. "There's your problem", the top radiator hose had popped off at the radiator.
    • Yeah that looks like great caster, but I'd suggest trying less front camber some time and seeing if it helps with braking without reducing mid corner speed too much
    • I ended up setting the rear 5mm higher than normal to give some clearance.  My plan is to run the least camber I can in the rear which I think with the extra width is going to need to be -1.75 to -2.00° just to get clearance.  Guards have been rolled and pulled as much as they can/I would be wanting to.  front has the Acostal knuckle with the KPI change and the drop etc. So should be okay with the existing settings I have run with AR1s etc Front: Toe total -2mm(1mm out each side) Caster +7.5° Camber -3.8° Ackerman +15°
