OO!!!  The one with the c-west kit!!!  yummy!!!  that was definitely the more eye catching of the two :D  I think another cruise is in order so i can check out all these hot cars in more detail!!!!!!!

Andrew - If you could, that'd be great!!!!!  Can you ask them how legal it is? I seem to attract the epa/rta setups, and the box has to be legal enough for them to let me go without any problems!  I don't want to get done again...especially not after paying $600!!!! :  I keep planning on stopping off at advan...hehehe...but i've never made it!

Hmm...i'm assuming e-boost is a boost controller :)  I've got profec a...hehe...i have no issues with it :(  And i have no idea what a HKS SSQ is?

He he..... no worries :(

yeah i'm finishing early this month, leave at 7:30am!  Will keep that eye out!

I had an overheating problem, turned out i had to replace the thermostat on the weekend, plus i have heaps of stress cracks in the end tanks of the radiator so time to save up for a custom alloy one!

but still got a similar idle issue, i've got down to possible TPS or O2 sensor issues. been playing around with it for weeks now! nearly got my dash finished now too - been making adjustments to make my guages legal - same defect issues as you've been getting!

hahaha...guess i have to start leaving earlier!!! :)

and you did all that yourself? nice!!! hehhee...i love how any misfortune when its car related, always results in a replacement that assists/gives more power :D

yeah...we first thought it was tps...but after changing it, the problems still there....its so strange!!! and as bad as it sounds, its nice to know someone else has the same issue :(

Where were you gauges that you had to move them?

THANKS ANDREW!!!!!! :(

Guages were on the a-pillar, now are all part of the dash itself, i had to cut a fair bit but hey it's all good fun. Looks good, now just gotta get the dash sprayed to match the outside of the car.

yeah i always make the most of any issue with the car, i gotta find a tps to swap mine with to test.. might have to take it to a workshop :)

you moved the pillars to the dash yourself? mad!!!!! i wouldn't trust myself with the car! i'd probably hack too much and then have holes everywhere : LOL!!! matching!!! nice! you're cars an awesome colour :)

I've got a tps you can borrow? i swapped it with a new one for my car...and it didn't change anything...so the old one is still good! you can try it on yours if you like?

LOL - i moved the guages off the pillar not the pillar itself :)

I would love it if i could get that TPS off you for a bit, just getting really annoying at lights etc having to constantly rev the car past 2.5K just to keep it going! i'll PM you!

yeah both that blue R34 and yellow evo 7 with plate EVO 7 was his and sold to two honky guys.....dont know them personally but yeah the two are friends...

seen both of them on seperate occasions......niiiice...

spotted MIZ-25T 4door r33 on cutting across broadway....

hey frank i found the high boost setting...its da scramble mode...

you know how to use that ?

I saw two skylines R32 gt-r white no plate, gtst black [grrrrr] having a go at cronulla today.

    • Yea that's a fair assumption. I'm presuming they call them solid lifters as they have no moving parts like hydro lifters.
    • I believe you're confusing WMI with water injection. Looking at that graph, the 93aki+WMI car is making more power than C16 race gas. Boost juice, which is what I also run, is Snow Performances 50/50 premix.
    • GCG is a good company, they're a major distributor for Garrett in Japan as well.
    • Nah, OEM washer bottle and brake fluid reservoirs are fine I don't know what it is with the plastic that Mazda used, some plastics, like the washer bottle and brake fluid res are fine, and still look new after 20 years use, where as the coolant expansion tank, and PS reservoir, that I replaced with new OEM items when I first got the car, turned yellow and started getting brittle a few years later If the dirty yellow stained plastics didn't trigger me there wouldn't be an issue, but they did, much like the battery bracket....... Meh As for going back to work full time to support car stuff, nope, why, because I own a Mazda NC MX5, not a Nissan R series Skyline 🤣
    • I've never heard of CJ-motor, so can't advise you on them. I'd just go straight to GCG for a GCG highflow though. Seems no point to use a middleman. I'm somewhat surprised that the price on the CJ site is lower than the GCG retail price. Even though CJ would get a discount of some sort, you would hardly expect them to give up so much margin. Maybe the price is out of date? Having said that "I'd go to GCG"...when I did my highflow, I went to Hypergear. I did this https://hypergearturbos.com/product/rb25dethighflow/#tab-dyno-results with the R34 OP6 450HP profile. With the BB centre (extra $400) and intially with the standard boost actuator, but I eventually got him to send me the high pressure one when I got to the point of being able to actually use it. Ends up costing the same sort of money as the GCG highflow, but this is, of course, the turbo that I KNOW has a shorter length core and so moves the comp cover rearwards. The GCG apparently doesn't do that. My mechanic also swears by the GCG highflow, given that we have another turbo rebuilder who does something essentialy the same as theirs, using Garrett wheels. He says it stands up at really low revs and makes good power. I haven't pushed my HG highflow past ~240-250rwkW yet (should have a little more in it, but unclear how much) and it does have a fairly gentle boost ramp. OK, it's much better now that I have gotten my boost controller tuned up on it.  A lot of my earlier unhappiness was because I couldn't keep the wastegate flap as closed as it needed to be (including some mechanical issues). I'd still prefer it to boost up nearly as quickly as the stocker, and it certainly a bit slower than that. So maybe the GCG one is worth the first look (for you).
