Wikid photos Ryan, thanks for the effort. Aloe vera spray goes out to you mate! :D

Was a great day, really enjoyed being back up there. Albeit watching but was good to catchup with everyone. Hope last night was fun! Now what to do going forward............. :D

You should have run the Mini!... I reckon it would go alright on the skidpan, its gotta do some great handbrake turns... just load The Italian Job soundtrack into the CD player and away you go :)

Ah, you're kidding, maybe the r34 is telling you it's time for a change. I'm thinking of fixing/selling the evo then getting a 34 for next year.

Nah, the R34 will always just be the daily. Blowing the trans was inevitible, it's been a 4 year long repeated mistake. Live and learn, it's going manual. I might put a stock box in it, learn in that and when it eventually blows (it will) then I'll build it up. Means I can get into driving it again sooner whereas if I built the box from the outset I'd need to pull the car off the road for a year to afford to do it.

"what kind of irresponsible parent allows their child into a nightclub?"

"err, that's not a child, that's a midget"

"omg, there's a midget in the nightclub"

"did you kick it?"

evidence of shenanigans or it didn't happen.

lol i felt like an idiot when getting ready to run on the mini wang Ash starts the count down, thinking it was in first rev up to 4000rpm and let of the clutch. car screamed and dint go anywhere. look at the gear stick and ye wasnt in gear hahahahaha

then at the skid pan some guys who saw me do that was like "hey look its him" hahahaha

yes i felt like a knob lol

Awesome weekend as always, really looking forward to an alcohol free night though and still undecided on how to spend my $2.75 which is all i have left over after Saturday night, where did my $500 go??

LOL - booze and boobs Tim!!!

I got boobies :(

Team breakdance!!!! Thanks for showing us your skillz - was awesome to see

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I also remember someone getting slapped by a walking stick

Thanks to Ryan for putting in the hard yards and to Micolour for sponsoring the event.

And a MASSIVE thanks to all our officials on the day - the event would not have gone ahead without you, so we really appreciate all the help. You all rock!!!!

My thoughts are with anyone else who got sunburnt :P

Results will come this week sometime (when we get a chance) - stay tuned.

I have pics from Saturday night - will go through them and put them up when I get some spare time.

Juliette, Rob still has a spare manual box sitting around our garage from his car that I'm sure he's willing to part with if you're interested.

I'll contact him, thanks. I want an N15 box as it has double cone synchros on first gear.

Howdy All,

Cant believe I am still feeling fatigued from Saturday nights shenanigans - dang!

The worst part is that $300 later I wasnt even feeling tipsy (damn chicken parma must have absorbed all the alcohol like some devil sea sponge trying to ruin my fun) yet on the flipside of my limited sleep I was handed the seedy package from hell only Maccas goodness and a chunky puke could rid of! oh yeah :P

Would I do it all over again? - HELL YES in half a heart beat! - a quality TEK looks for in a object to fornicate hehe! jk br0 :P

AL you big softie trying to claim "no more drinks" at some random point in the night but that was a fairly easy wall to overcome bahah!

With the intensity of the sun @ DECA reflecting the heat intensity of a non-existent ozone layer my respects, grattitude and ultimate thank you's extend to ALL those involved in making the day possible and if I can further add that you guys are absolute CHAMPIONS for enduring such tormenting relentless heat the ENTIRE day! Well done

All the best everyone & am now watching the clock for the next one!

Cheers

Ben

I find it funny why two relatively muscular guys like me and you were protecting Adz from a girl with a walking stick and two completely harmless guys who were absolutely wired, i think even the midget could of taken all 3 :P

    • Hey keep the ideas coming, I'm always keen on projects! But, problem fixed!  I got a cheapie ozito scope from Bunnings and had a good look in and around the bearing and sensor hole. I couldn't see a smoking gun but the bearing looked a bit strange, especially when comparing with a new one. I thought the cover had come off the bearing magnets.  Sorry for pics of a screen, I didn't have an SD card.     Good thing I had the old one to inspect. So, given I'm like a pit crew with wheel bearings and luckily I had a spare bearing because I f**ked up my parts order, I decided to just smash it out. Got the old one out in about an hour. So much easier when the parts haven't had a chance to rust together yet. 😂 And, well, found the problem.    In the second pic at about the 8 o'clock position, you'll see what I think is the tip of the old sensor.  The new sensor has definitely been rubbing but it's all intact, just a little shiny so I'm hoping it's fine.  The car brakes perfectly now and no errors.  I think the job took about 2.5h in the end. 👍🏻 I really appreciate the help in here as usual. Thanks guys.
    • I was only looking because I saw some drops on the ground but it wasn't alot. Recently had it serviced will ask the mech to confirm. Find it strange that it looks standard though, can see in another photo of a random box
    • So...not sure if you know if that has always been there or why you went looking. It could be old damage from a clutch explosion, or even just the gearbox got dropped somewhere along the line. Basically, you should seal it up to stop oil and dust getting into the bellhousing, but it doesn't matter too much and is not structural. I'd suggest something like a glob of JB Weld. BTW what gearbox oil are you running, I would guess the breather has been spewing it everywhere.
    • Hey Duncan thanks for your reply. Sorry mate I know the photos are shit.  Took another photo for reference. Seems the casing does have a hole in it looking on the net, fluid seeping out. Added a photo
