Thats a horrid story if indeed it is true.

Just take a copy of the bank account number you put the money into, the date of the deposit & receipt & the bank acc. holders details along with the copy of description of goods that were sold to you straight down to the police & report it as a fraudulent sale or as straight out theft.

Get this guy a shiny new criminal record for his troubles for stealing from a fellow SAU'er then we will paint his name as a shifty pr*ck that thieves off his mates & is not to be trusted

My 2c

Get your friend to contact the bank that the bank deposit was made into and advise that he has inadvertently transferred 2K into the 'said' account and would like it refunded.....that should get the ball rolling.

I googled charlie4401 and it turns out he has a few accounts (some crazy sites too)

never heard of sexbay.com.au

but you can buy him for 200 bucks

and on a few sites hes listed as living in Alice Creek (which is near 10 miles outside Kingaroy) that might narrow it down abit as it looks like there is only about 5 houses there on google maps

Thats why people shouldn't be buying from private sellers unless it can be seen, picked up and paid in person. had few private PMs trying to sale me their engines when I mentioned my engine was tired.

Well good luck men hunting.

Ive been ripped off by another guy on here from QLD r34_83, paid $550 for a set of coilovers and he just kept the money. Ripped of a bunch of other people too. Tried going to the police but nothing could ever be done about it.

SAU will not be releasing IP addresses. Plus if you think a IP helps you are a tad silly.

I can't think of one dodgy trader that i've banned that has used a static IP. All are dynamic or O/S.

Being dynamic most users have shared the IP with someone at some point, not really that useful now is it?

You'd need the ISP to release that information, which they will not without a request from Police.

We will happily post details as per the bad trader listing (address, accnt, licence, known alias etc etc), as it is actually useful.

Static I.P's are not very common. Neither is the common sense to change your I.P once you have done something stupid like this..

Anyway looks like he has an R33, has had or still has an R31 and an EF Falcon.

There is no street view out there, though.

    • Did you pay with a credit card? I'd be putting a charge back through then finding a new sparky to sort it out.
    • If you mean the alarm immobiliser; theyre internal to the alarm itself which makes that difficult; I couldnt even see where he put it; its not in the same place as last time; but with all black wiring it might be very challenging to trace  I had someone turn the key for me as I know it only primes for a couple of seconds As my post above; I am getting no voltage to the pump at all; but I am testing continuity of the power line (SB) from the pump plug to the relay fine. As well as the negative from the pump plug to a 12V constant.    Yeah; he blammed the no start on a bad battery; said I needed to get a new battery and it'll start. Turns out the battery drained because the tail lights had been on for half the day during the install (the rubber cushion on the brake switch gave out while he was testing it as I have a picture of the car from that morning with the tail lights off..i've replaced that). The battery was turning over the engine just fine for a long time; but got low since lights were draining it so it was too low to test a start after he finished. I bought a new one on his advice...$250 wasted. My original battery charged up just fine and is healthy.    It was running perfectly fine when I messed up the old alarm (programmed out the remotes). He couldnt start it after removing the old alarm; my assumption is that when he unhooked it; he didnt bridge the circuit back when trying to start it. Its always been perfectly fine. The ECU swap and pump were 2 years ago. It's never missed a beat in that time.
    • This is a big issue for me without the diff. I just have zero drive from the passenger side when drivers side has no traction. Bec's parents place has a crazy steep driveway with odd camber and I have never been able to get up. My bro-in-law's 130i with an (unknown brand) LSD gets up fine as does their dad's Hiace. My car stays at the bottom. We have other odd camber roads around here as we're elevated a bit and if it's raining I can get totally stuck around some hairpins.
    • Yeah, I am super excited for this.
    • Was the car running before he touched the car?
