Enlightening. Massa is NOT HAPPY about what happened tonight.

Interesting point re: RBR - if preference goes to the one highest in the championship, what's going to happen now they're on equal points? I'm tipping it will be alphabetically by last name.

Have you also sat at Eau Rouge? I'd like to hear a comparison from someone who's seen both.

I'm not denying Turn 8 is a great corner, but I stand by my claim that Eau Rogue is more spectacular to watch and a bigger challenge for the drivers.

I think it used to be a challenge but not so much anymore, its massive incline is what makes it scary. Height variations have always been exciting to watch, laguna seca is one example

Dont underestimate how much turn 8 undulates. Tv does these things no justice.

I will go to Spa though. Not soon, but it will happen

Well if Horner and teams start crying to the FIA I would not be surprised if Alonso is stripped of points. The language used after the pass support it was a team order. Interesting times

As for incline...man i dont know, walking up Eau Rouge wears you out....driving through it doing about 190-200km/h is a buzz. I have never seen an F1 car go through there but GT1 cars were cool! And as cool as Eau Rouge is, Pouhon is a mighty corner and equally as cool to watch F1 cars go through

Oh man, i just realised it is 12 months tomorrow since i did the two days driving at Spa....FARK how the last 12 months have flown :(

oh...and that driver briefing was a tad embarrassing for Alonso and Massa

Well that was a terrible race. Why is it the ones that Ferrari wins are boring? :(

Loved seeing Massa's body language after the race. Boy was he pissed! Rightfully so, and his comments will obviously get the FIA digging deeper into the issue.

Webber's still ahead of vetool according to the FIA as he has more wins this season.

between flexible wings and team orders, looks like the old fuzz are back!

be very disappointed if a monetary penalty is enforced. They never deter the big spenders (unless it gets taken out of a spending cap type scenario in the future) and it sets a bad precedent. Why even bother having the rule?

That was as boring as bat shit. Massa is now offically Ferrari's bitch. I would be fuming if I had lost money on Sportsbet.

Is there any talk of alonso not getting the win?? caus i won the moaneyyyyyy!! and would like to keep it!

rumours are force india may be excluded for fitting the wrong tyres to their cars... for one lap... before they rectified it at their own expense

and here the fuzz are found guilty of cheating and this is what they get?

WMSC smashed mclaren in 08, we'll see if they have the same amount of balls in this case

Is it team orders when drivers are advised to hold station and not challenge their team mate?

On more than one occasion this year we have seen cryptic orders given to drivers from more than just Ferrari telling them that "their team mate is quicker" or time to "conserve fuel" when it seems they were pressing for position.

It is rife in F1 and it always will, the difference is Ferrari made it obvious this weekend.

It sucks but that is the game.

Spot on, it happens all the time, people are just having their usual whinge because it was Ferrari this time.

    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
    • OK, if it idles at 1000+ with the AAC, its not an idle airflow problem. The cold start valve just gives extra air when the engine is cold, but you have enough air without it to idle at 1000. I think you are back to a fuel problem, sorry. Can you see the fuel pressure staying constant or does it drop as the revs drop to a stall?
