spotted outside integra today a white 32 GTR with 2 flat tyres, lookin sad.

And also a white 33 GTR inside the workshop.

Is this normal for integra to leave jobs parked outside?

Bit dodgy isnt it?

The GTR is mine, and no they dont usually leave cars outside, mine shouldnt be there.

Driving down my street on Friday night following a ute carrying firewood, a log of wood fell off the ute and went straight under my car doing a fair bit of damage (most notably, the wheels will be thrown in the bin as theyre buckled to all hell and back).

As the car cant be towed up my driveway due to the angle, I got it towed to my mechanics, which is Integra and which is why it was outside.

So cram your dodgy comment where it fits without knowing the full story.

WTF! I dont give a flying F**K who owns that GTR or what the story behind it is.

Point is I think its dodgy that The GTR is sitting outside the workshop, exposed for all to see.

Sorry to hear about the damage to your car (very unfirtunate) but drop the attitude buddy, its just a freakin observation and I am free to express it as I choose.

You call a workshop that I obviously highly rate dodgy, because -I- made the choice to leave -my- car out the front.

You obviously dont realise comments like what you made on a forum can make or break a business. There was and is nothing dodgy about where the car is. There are no mechanics at Integra on the weekend, and I dropped it off well after hours on Friday night. What am I meant to do, bust in so I can put the car inside so people dont think its dodgy?

Integra do not leave cars outside, and if I hadve dropped it off during business hours, it wouldnt be outside. To add to that also, one of the mechanics heard the car was there, and went in -in their own free time- on the weekend to see if I had left the keys at the servo to move it inside.

So my comment still stands, get the full facts before you making comments calling a business dodgy on a forum, that could potentially cost them a shitload of work (especially when they didnt even know the car was there).

Damn! do you work for these guys or something?

Mate, anyone who drove past wouldve seen the GTR and thought the same thing.

You better put a big sign on ur car stating what really happened so people dont think bad things about your precious workshop.

All in all - Who Cares!!

31 2-door belongs to a guy i work with. he reads a bit on here, but not sure if hes a member. i'll try get him out on tues/fri if i can. love the 2door!!!

and 33 4-door? sure it wasn't a 32 4door? just cos another guy i work with has a 32 sedan.

I was wondering who was stairing at me and my car.......

Also, AMARU.......... I think it's great that you stick up for your FAV mechanic and there place of buisiness. I agree it can make or break a shop. Dont worry about small minded people leaving there un-wanted two bobs worth about your ride. It's your car, so you do as you please and can leave it where you please.

while we are on the topic of giving plugs to good mechanics I sill take my car to DYNAMIC TUNING AND SRVICE. DTS . Formaly MING automotive.. Glen and the other boys there are fantastic and really know there stuff.

Cheers.

Also spotted that blue R34GTR again. There starting to grow on me more the 34"s.

Are DTS in Belco now? I watched an awesome Dyno video that they produce for customers doing power runs. Very professional. Changing the name was wise, MING had a bad rep in my neck of the woods.

I think the comment about the GTR sitting outside Ed's was warranted. It was an accurate description of what he saw and I wouldve thought the same thing "Damn I hope that hasnt been left out all weekend" purely because I wouldnt want it getting broken in to or even worse taken!

A simple explanation probably wouldve been sufficient Nik. But yeah I'm all for defending your workshop! EDIT: Sorry forgot to ask, hows the ride? Is the truck company going to pay? That sucks! I had a number of huge pieces of MDF fly of a truck in front of me and go skyward! It was like a movie trying to dodge these huge deadly MDF boards! lol... Luckily I got away with it, sounds like you didnt have that much luck!

I havent seen anyone around in a while! Then again I havent been driving the Skyline so nobody wouldve seen me.

Busted wheels, possibly busted brake callipers (the drivers side front wheel hit the calliper its warped that bad), busted front bar, theres a gap between the bonnet and front drivers side quarter now, exhaust bent... thats what I can see. Its going up on the hoist today so undercarriage can be checked further to see what other damage is done.

Ute didnt stop, and if anyones seen those flatbed hilux utes, the number plates are mounted under the tray and are hard enough to see when their lights are working. What topped it off is the ute had no lights on so couldnt see the plate, and he kept driving without stopping. Filled out a police report, but *shrugs* at this stage looks like im going to be quite a few thousand out of pocket because some **** sucking knob jockey decided itd be smart to carry firewood on a flat bed tray with no sides... ****ing idiot.

    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
    • When I said "wiring diagram", I meant the car's wiring diagram. You need to understand how and when 12V appears on certain wires/terminals, when 0V is allowed to appear on certain wires/terminals (which is the difference between supply side switching, and earth side switching), for the way that the car is supposed to work without the immobiliser. Then you start looking for those voltages in the appropriate places at the appropriate times (ie, relay terminals, ECU terminals, fuel pump terminals, at different ignition switch positions, and at times such as "immediately after switching to ON" and "say, 5-10s after switching to ON". You will find that you are not getting what you need when and where you need it, and because you understand what you need and when, from working through the wiring diagram, you can then likely work out why you're not getting it. And that will lead you to the mess that has been made of the associated wires around the immobiliser. But seriously, there is no way that we will be able to find or lead you to the fault from here. You will have to do it at the car, because it will be something f**ked up, and there are a near infinite number of ways for it to be f**ked up. The wiring diagram will give you wire colours and pin numbers and so you can do continuity testing and voltage/time probing and start to work out what is right and what is wrong. I can only close my eyes and imagine a rat's nest of wiring under the dash. You can actually see and touch it.
