It has been very hard to find anything off the shelf in Japan. we found a used Dolphin dump pipe but we think it was a prototype and there was no production.

I am interested but as always, it depends on price :)

Btw, anyone know roughly how much a dump from Japan would cost? Im heading over in May and wondering if there is much difference in price between this and a branded bolt on.

Thanks

I could make a few up if you need. I have the jig setup already, just need to source a couple of stainless bends. I could work out a good group buy price too if you like?

The stock dump can be a pain to get off, good idea having a hoist to do this job and a good tool selection. I usually replace the studs with stainless bolts to make it easier to refit.

I spoke to liverpool exhausts today after reading about a m35 axis on here (forgot the guys name) but he had a custom dump made up but mild steel with a ceramic coating. the price for this including a highflow cat was $1200 :( W-T-H

Wow 1200 bucks? I got mine from the same place for 900 last year. I must say, even though we sat outside in the carpark for an entire day, they did a decent job and havent had any issues since.

Absolutley Iain. You have my help for the hole day when you get it done.

its helpful to have a friend assist you with the job. isnt that right Andy?? :(

i know ill have some help when mine gets done hehehe

Did you get the dump and cat done as well?......good price at $900 from Charlstone if you did :O.....Iv'e known Bruce for nearly 20 years and he still charged me $1,100 without the dump pipe and cat(what cat :( )

P.S. From what I have seen Scott's Dump pipe is the ones to get.

P.S.S. Andy a guru :O

No, Eugine had his done by Liverpool. And that was from behind the cat back.

Scott's pipes look very good. Pitty they wern't ready when I did mine.

That dump pipe that you guys saw was a one off and lives on my car.

It was going to be the "production" one, but for 2 reasons;

1. A shit load of time and effort to make

2. A pain in the arse to install/remove

I will be looking into getting some 3" bends so we can make up a few similar to the eBay one.

Anyone who would be interested, please post below to give us some idea of quantities

Yeah I got mine done at Livo Exhaust. As much as i didnt want to go there ever again from past experiences, I had no choice for 3 reasons. 1 - no one at that time on this forum had done any exhaust upgrades, 2 - my stock cat was cracking so I had to get something done, and 3 - Chris (MLCrisis I think that's the id) had his exhaust done at Livo and I liked what they did to his car. My dump/front combo with a high flow cat is mild steel but ceramic coated so won't ever rust as long as I don't scrape the pipe. I recently changed the oil and had a good look at the pipe and cat and after almost 1.5 years of having it, she still looks good.

    • Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣
    • You’ll be very upset when you bust that too not to mention the gearing totally sucks. Don’t do it.

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
