chasing a turbo for my 25...

looking for good response and around the 250ish mark.

have searched and read up... for 2 days and looking into HighFlowed 33 turbo, Garrett 2860Rs-10, or 2871.

curious on other people opinions but am really trying to keep full boost below 3200.. from what i have read the 30 series are a lil too laggy for my liking.. bear in mind i am chasing response and not huge power.

car will be running power fc, z32AFM, bosch 040 pump, straight 3inch pipes, 2way 4.1 ratio.

the only bolt on option you have listed is the highflow. the GT28 turbos use a T25 inlet not a T3 which the skyline uses.

from what i have heard/read you are able to get a garret T3 flange as an option..

HKS turbo is slightly outta the price range... unless you happen to know of one going cheap

Sounds like the 33 highflow is the one for you,

Given you say thr GTR-S is outta the range - all the others aint goint to be much cheaper.

Also for ease of fitment and power goal, 33 will be fine.

the dyno results thread had everything you want to know, there is also the GT30 thread which will cover alot of the information you want about things that are smaller and cheaper (especially later) the 2871 Rb25 thread is also good as is the hypergear hiflow service thread.

start reading you could cover it all in a couple of hours, and I guarantee you will find people with results equal to what your asking, 250kw and 3200rpm spool

garrett 3071R? i'm looking for similar power but without having to run the turbo at 18 odd PSI, which kind of limits it to a 3076R with a .63 rear. No offence to Hypergear but I don't really want to set myself up for disappointment with a cheap turbo again

they aren't $4500 new. $2800 from nengun.....which is expensive compared to a quality hi-flow but certainly isn't $4500.

GT3071R .63 with a proper T3 internal gate housing will be ideal for 250. Should be able to make 250 on low boost too. Also, if you want more power down the track, all you need to do is put a .82 housing on and more boost and it'll see 300.

Both Hypergear and GCG are Garrett distributors, they all make their own little things. Give both of them a ring and see who offers the best setup with the best prices.
