man nissan's lagging in the aftermarket race.

just ordered a full suspension arm, bushing and bearing refresh kit for $600 for the golf. They even package it into a kit based on your VIN so all the parts are guranteed to fit. That's crazy.

No one has suggestions for a daily driver to cart my hairy arse around?

golf

I'm looking at JZX100 later.

coz that's such an intelligent choice for a daily

I wanted something a bit fun though.

clearly you've never driven a GTI.

I'm not normal to begin with...

clearly you've never driven a GTI.

Correct, show me where can I get GTI for $13k and less?

Hamish, for 13k, I'd want you to throw in your GTST to sweeten the deal.

Nice try grant

Dang it!

Looked at the JZX100 earlier, it hasn't been started for 4 months, seller basically let it sit after getting defected...

So would Supra make a good daily driver?

try this one by this guy. You should be able to knock a couple of grand off.

While I was searching... it's doable for me to find one at my price range, was surprised at how much these are.

But it does look bit boring though (don't care about police attention - never get pulled over in Skyline so don't mind flashy cars).

May have a squizz at one of these and see how I feel about them.

    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
