Need A Driver...merrylands Areas, Top Dollar For 10 Mins Drive

ok, i did something stupid last year and got my licenses disqualified by the court for two years, now I need to get my car registered because I want to get sell it since I can't driver it for another 1.5 years, in order to do so I need to a blue slip from an inspection station, because no body in my family drives a manual, I need a someone who can drive a manual car. I don't want my friends to drive coz I don't want them to know that I have been disqualified..

location: from my home in Merrylands to an AUVIS in Guiltford. And back approximately 5mins each way.

the car is a 08 suzuki swift, out of rego for more than 3 months now.

I prefer you to hold a full manual license, but Ps are fine as long as you are a SAFE driver.

will pay you $40 each way, or $80 both ways.

yeah but i'm pretty sure you are allowed to drive an unregistered car to a place specifically for work related to its repair and road worthiness aslong as it is withing a certain distance of the origin.

Yeah but you can get an Unregistered Vehicle Permit (UVP) that allows you to drive an uregistered vehicle on the road

Obtaining an Unregistered Vehicle Permit

If you're already on the RTA's computer system you can request a UVP by phone, provided you have access to a fax machine and a valid credit card.

Otherwise, you will need to visit a NSW motor registry in person, or authorise a representative to attend on your behalf and provide:

Proof of identity. If you send a representative they will need to prove their identity.

A document that proves the vehicle is roadworthy (eg a safety inspection report or a Customer Declaration of Roadworthiness for specific vehicles).

A completed Application for Unregistered Vehicle Permit form, available from the Registration Forms link, below.

By law you can drive the vehicle from your house to nearest convenient inspection station as stated above. Whoever drives this car will have no worries getting there and back. He said 5 min drive...thats pretty convenient. Just book it with the blue slip place and if cops pull you over, you tell them you are booked in and give them the number of the place. Or if its on the way home, show them the blue slip. Easy.

yes, but the thing is that I as disqualified from driving at all by the court, and RTA have nothing to do with it. I will not be breaking RTA's rule but I'll be break the court order. The magistrate was not very kind, and said something like sending me to jail if I get caught behind the wheel again, btw i am on good-behaviour bond and getting caught is not in my best interest.

To obtain that permit you actually need a pink slip (done it before) so there's really not much point.

You can drive your car to and from a repairer for the purposes of registration.

Not condoning people should drive without a licence of course.

yea, thread should be called "anyone got a car trailer?" i know of a few people on here that do, throw a little cash there way and your back on track.

btw you dont have ANY friends who know how to drive a manual? Thats got to be beating the odds.

    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
