My car is basically smack on average GTR power, which sounds about right... My car is pretty average LOL.

Good day :) . Big thanks for Daniel for finding and Glenn for fixing my fuel pressure! Lucky I ran it yesterday... 15:1AFRs at full throttle at 6k RPM on 18psi wouldn't have been nice for it.

Was a good day! Skyline boys have a lot to get ready for the next one. Can't let kat flog you all time!!

Shame about those dodgy federal tyres ;)

I'm going to be orgainising a Supra/ skyline social day in a few weeks too!!

Yeah, who would buy Federal Tyres?? - They're just crap... :)

I'm looking forward to the Go-karting day that Ross suggested.

What are you smoking dude? All the cars were stationary, and no 200sx was there? :P

Ross generously donated half the profits from the BBQ to the club, so we now have $40 in the kitty.

Good turnout guys, a bit slow but in the end we out numbered the Supra's... just.

For those who like the stats

Average GTR power (excluding my single troubled run) 307.74kw

Average turbo Supra Power 352.98kw

Average non turbo supra power 143.5kw

Average GTS-T/GTT/GRUMBLEBEE power 240kw

Total skyline power 3424.9kw

Total supra power 3463.8kw

But using the stats we clearly won in this regard

Average power per litre GTR (excluding mine) 116.57kw

Average power per litre turbo Supra 115.94kw

Well that enough nerdy stats, clearly we won based on that last single stat :P

Anyone planning a 2.8 litre kit for next year?

Night all.

You have too much time on your hands John (oh and Its Grumblebee, not bumblebee)... :D

Anywho...

Thankyou to all who took part, it was a great way to spend a Sunday and it was great to speak with so many like minded people!

A huge thankyou goes out to the ESP guys and Ross for organising the event and running it so smoothly! - Well done!

Cheers

Mick

Will you be providing the on-street entertainment again next year Niko?

I hope everyone had as much fun as we did.

I think this can grow into a yearly event for our clubs and the start of other inter-club events.

We are not all evil...

Niko

Well I aim to please. At this point I would usually bring up something along the lines that next year it will be your mum and I providing the entertainment on the street, but I just don't know you well enough

what was the result of the test? did the gutter pass?

Yes, yes it did. The tyres failed :) Bent a hub, no big deal. Another hub will be arriving here by the end of the week.

Come on guys... Give Niko a break, we have all been there before (well, most of us) and its not a nice feeling, even without people rubbing it in...

BTW - thanks for the 'threesome' John

No worries Mick, I don't take banter to heart. In fact I was expecting some crap from Grant at the shop but to my surprise he turned around and said that if you never brush up a wheel or two in your lifetime, your not driving hard enough. Besides I probably deserve it :)

My mum's really old Niko, but I can see if she's available if you like

And yes, we've all done something like that at some stage. Welcome to The Gutter Club.

    • Not really, but the heater box is pretty simple mechanically....if the door is one way the air bypasses the heater core and if it is the other way it goes through it for warm air.  If you are sure the actuator you moved manually is for the heater mix (there would also be one for output air direction) then I'd take the heater box out and see what is happening (you'll have to regass and re-coolant the systems afterwards) BTW pp724 onwards from the GTR workshop manual cover the system in good detail, it is probably worth checking. I think the IAT sensor might be a problem electrically for getting cold (if you got 24 error code not -24 it thinks the incoming air is -50c) and it covers how to test the sensor (although most likely it is either not plugged in or a wire is damaged)
    • Use the GKTech subframe bush and bring your subframe 10mm closer to the chassis. You'll need to fix an exhaust hanger to suit. One of the best mods I've done.
    • You'd really have to pull it apart further to know, it least you can be confident that the one heading to the back is not connected any more. There was once a ground on the shifter seal mount too, your head unit issue could be that simple
    • Perfect, I'll get to it this winter then at the same time as I weld on my anti squat kit.
    • Alright so my 32 only has one temperature no matter what degree you set it to. I’ve tried disconnecting the servo motor arm and moving it either direction and got no change. I’ve fixed the leak in my AC and re charged it and with it on and clutch engaged it still blows hot even though the low pressure pipe going to the firewall is ice cold. Both heater core hoses are hot while running as well. Diagnostic code showed 24 for intake air temperature sensor. Anybody got any ideas?
