Skylines in Melb being broken into

I had my R33 broken into on the 2nd of Jan in Melbourne CBD, they seemed to know exactly how to get in as the actual lock wasn't touched, they used a method that I won't go into as I don't want to help others do the same. They stole my stereo and amp, luckily neither were worth very much, but to get the stereo out they did break the dash board.

Any last night I was at Melb High and there was another R33 Skyline which I noticed had the same markings on it that indicated it had been broken into in the same fashion and looking in the window it was also missing its Stereo.

So using my powers of deduction I'm tipping that these two aren't isolated cases, has anyone else had their skyline broken into recently in Melb.

I'm sure there must be a way to stop how they are getting into the car, if anyone knows what I am talking about and has already figured out how to prevent it can they please PM me. An alarm doesn't seem to stop them.

yes ..i know get a cheap car like my honda city for work or etc... only use your skyline on weekend that way i am sure u are safe.

If it's not R33 specific and could help me in my R32, I'd like to hear about it. I know a trick used to enter Subarus, and we have a similar design in a particular area that puts us at the same risk... let me know if that's it.

JAPCAB has the same thing happen to him in the city near the childrens hospital. They also took the stereo, and broke in through the left siee door lock. Id advise everyone to have a 'microwave radar sensor' in there alarm, that way if any sort of motion is detected in the car it will release the ear piercing signal and deter thiefs. This technology is used in convertibles when left open. But work great in closed enviroments too.

also.. if anyone catches the theif that is on this rampage, PM, ill be right over to break this ****suckers nose.

microwave sensor give alot of false alarms, especially if u park on a busy street with alot of trucks etc driving past
