Ok pretty much confirmed that it wasn't bad fuel that has f**ked my car. Looks like I'll be investing in a new set of coil packs. A mte offered to sell me his standard ones which sounds good but mite as we rip myself in the ass n buy some good after market ones. The most suggested have been splitfire but everyone seems to be giving me prices between $600 - $1500.

Input? I'm leaning towards buying new ones as reusing old ones from a different car could land me back in my current pissed off mood.

i had the ultra common coil pack issue very early on in the piece, got split fires, 4 years later, not 1 issue.

i think there are few massive threads in the general or skylines section about all the different coilpacks.

yeh I've seen the threads just didn't wanna make a blind decision. Looks like splitfire is the preferred but yellojack appears highly recommended as well so it's all down to the money

i bought my splitfires, second hand like $300 had them for 6months+ no problem, or go the yellow jackets ive read on the forum that they are just as good and there cheap

Yellow Jackets for the win...awesome product and the after sales support is terrific (should you need it). They will look after you for sure. Ignition never misses a beat.

any new coil packs are going to be better than what you have for at least the nex 5 years so just spend the money on what you can afford

I got Yellow Jackets and haven't had a problem with them.

If Splitfires are a bit out of your budget then I'd recommend the Yellow Jackets

Have had multiple failures from the after-market brands forget the hype.... there is only one sure fire thing Splitfire, we wont use anything else anymore, plus they are only a 100 more if you buy from the right place.

i had same prob. with coils... i thought to myself i'll try the silicone fix. i loaded them up with silicone, haven't skipped a beat in 6 months. even on full boost not a miss in sight. try that first before you go and spend $$ on new coils. i've also read of quite a few cars with big power running siliconed coils...

i actualy bought a set of just jap ones... ive had them for about a year now and my little 20 is still revving ubercleanly to 7k...

where i got mine from and cheap as. You might have to wait a couple of weeks but worth it for the price difference. If anyone else knows somewhere thats about the same price but no wait, please correct me
