yes and no mate, in the end, we drive turbo cars, the exhaust needs get to out, the better you can make it flow the more efficient your engine will be.

3.5-4ich exhuasts seam to work on GTRs.

i had a 4inch exhaust on my gtr, it was loud... So i did alot of research into how the exhaust system works, and this is what i came up with to find that happy medium.

The way i see it, the exhaust is more dence when its hot, therefore it needs more area. So it needs to be bigger closest to the engine and can become smaller as it gets further away.

my exhuast consists of,

* Tomei dumps,

* Twin tuned length 3inch front pipes

* Into a 4inch merge,

* The 4inch carrys for 350mm than falls into a 4-3.5inch tapered cone which is disguised as a cat (cough cough)

* Than from the "CAT" it flows into a Ti Tomei Catback.

So in the end i have around 700mm of 4inch...........

This equals a bullshit high flowing exhaust system, which is not that loud. (considering)

pic of the front pipes i made, they tuned length within, 20mm

Equal length keeps the exhaust pulses arriving at regularly spaced intervals, it's ment be as if, there's a slight gap between the exhaust pulse, so the first pipe pushes its exhuast out, than he second pipe pushes its exhuast in behide the first and it just repeats.

that's the theory behide it. It's ment to improve response. They also make the exhaust sound awesome.

But to be completely honest, I seen countless Jap and some Aussie shops do tuned length front pipes, so I thought F it, I challenge myself to make a set up to there standards..... And that's what I did.

Took me around 6hours, cost me about 180bux so a awesome investment f you ask me.

Ah yes. Makes sense!

Look great!

Just got my car back from Windsor exhaust, new 3.5 inch catback stainless steel system done :)

Used to be 3 inch then 3.5 after resonator then 3 inch out the cannon :blink:

Is a bit quieter than before so rocking stock yay!

The rear diffuser, once refitted cleared everything fine, they do great work!!!

This mob also did Karcher's VH45 v8 180sx exhaust.

    • Yeah I also looked at Plazmaman, but, it ended up alot  cheaper getting black ones through EFI when you also added in the delivery cost
    • Nice shot! They look super clean. The roof rack delete on the black one is interesting. Would like to see more pictures from different angles. It's subtle but could make quite a difference to how the car looks in profile.
