It's a 300ZX - if you look at it funny, you have to take the motor out ...

lies. you can look at it funny, but you can't sneeze while in it. that's breaking point IMHO.

Well.... at least you've told everyone in here.....

Haha good times bro! His face was priceless :)

That ZX actually pulled hard though. I think we were both surprised.

Hey LNah - I recognise your username from the MR2 forums. Don't tell them that you're going from an MR2 to a Skyline or you'll cop shit :D

i considered my 33 to be quite boggy in first gear, it was one of 2 gears i didnt much like, 3rd being the other. fitted a semi-lightened flywheel and a quick tune and it is absolutely pirky as in first now aswell as 3rd. it was the very first thing i noticed when driving it from the workshop, the car actually wanted to go in first instead of being forced to go.

but back on topic....ha.

Who cares if it's turbo or not. Skylines are awesome. Don't squabble when you're on the same team!

I would really like to drive one actually... low down power and torque can be very fun

Nothing wrong with a N/A if your on your Ps or using as a daily to and from work, both in which I do... its been great never had a problem even when I get pulled over on the way to work (happened a few times now) they come up look at the brakes and go.. "bugger non turbo"

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
