Well, got quite abit of crap done today..

I did the final install of the manifold and wastegate, i also had to cable tie the aircon line toward the strut tower as it was too close to the manifold and also wrap it with some orange sleeving

heres some pics of how it sits at the moment, fitment of the turbo and all the lines are done:

it took me a couple of hours to adjust all the lines and hoses so that nothing at all is touching the manifold, the closest thing to it is around 5mm away and is wrapped in sleeving

Not long to go till i can take it for a quick spin.. still have to properly relocate the power steering reservoir, block off the bovs and bolt on the intercooler piping.

I take it Clinton is Kermit, looks good with the cover mounted like that, I tried mine like that but ended up going with it down cos of fouling issues,

Oh hi : ) my bad on that one, ur car is very nice

Man, this thing is awesome!

I see you have moved on from the fear of further police 'inspections'... Touch wood it doesnt happen again!

Did you lose any power going to the smaller diameter exhaust? Or need to retune it?

Anyway looking forward to seeing the results of the new install!!!

Ive actually sold the 3" 5zigen system that i bought new, i now have a 3.5" system on there now but the power difference between the two was very minimal!

Turbo setup is finally finished! The grin on my face after i took it for a spin around the block was priceless..... i am well happy with how it drives and not to mention how it sounds..

And ill just leave this here:

Very happy with the depth of the colour too, im wondering how this colour would look on the rest of the car!

In that last shot at the bottom of the pic what is that speedflow 180deg fitting and line for? Just out of interest lol

Its the oil filter relocation. The white part is the oil filter. :)

SOOOOOOO much neater then twins....i sould of gone for a nicely sized single :S

interested to see what power you make @ what boost, and when full boost is made !

Me too! its actually quite responsive already, without a tune its making around 1bar on 4000rpm ! Thats as far as i want to rev the engine even though the knock hasnt gone over 20 so far.

Well car got tuned this morning.. it initially made 460hp on 18psi with the ebc set to 0%, that is the lowest boost my wastegate can run and then it made 485hp on 20psi.

It makes 1bar of boost at 4100rpm.. Full boost is at 4400rpm, pulls very hard even though its very wet today..

Drives smoother than ever! Feels like a new car smile.png Big thanks to the guys at Allstar !

how does it feel response wise compared to the previous twins?

any chance you could post up before and after dyno results

i duno if i missed it but what head work do u have done if any apart from the cams

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
    • Bloody apprentices! 🙄
    • Not sure yet.  Was considering speedtek because it was rated to 800hp, but when I did some research about him I don't think I will go for that🤣 So maybe giken gear set, but I'm afraid it won't be strong enough🙄
