I don't understand how some people can walk in and pick them up.

I've been waiting for my "rain checked" one since release date.

I'm getting pissed off.

I think it's just a matter of getting lucky. stores are getting them in dribs and drabs. it was the same with the ipad. I bought a 16gb wifi only model the day after release day and it was the last one of any type in stock at david jones (and just about any other store in the area) then about 2 weeks later I wanted a 32gb 3g model and had to ring about 20 stores and none had any of any type. I then walked into a JB hifi (to buy something else) and had already called them and been told no stock only to see a bloke standing there holding a 32gb 3g model joking with another store assistant about how long it would take to sell now that he'd bought it out of the store room and could he get any mark up on it... I bought it on the spot. ;)

I don't think you'll be waiting long.

Yeah, thats fair enough.

I should have signed up at Optus and not All phones, I presume optus would get them first.

I'm still waiting on mine.

They gave everyone an extra month for the wait, but what if we go over a month without the phone?

I wonder.

what? :S

He's probably had his iphone screen replace a few times and saying that its probably going to happen again.

This friday will be a month with no iphone.

What does that mean from optus? They gave me a free month, not really free without the phone o.O

I'll go ask them when I get the chance.

Anyone here rainchecked an iphone and still hasn't got it or got it recently?

im in the raincheck line from optus. i sold my 3gs for 550 and paid a early upgrade fee of 370 for the 32 gig model. but its been 2 and a half weeks now without a iphone and with some ancient piece of shit... hope this doesnt take another 2 weeks

I got my rain checked phone from Optus a week ago, but I didn't order it for a week after they where originally released also.

So far, I like it more than my 3GS (the wife now has that one) it has a better signal reception than the 3GS, I can actually answer the phone inside my house and shed now, without it dropping out. The camera is better, and the screen is also much clearer than the old one.

i have a iphone 4 n my reception is shit house with vodafone

i had alot better reception with my iphone 3g

Did you get the free Case? Supposed to help reception issues.

It's the first thing i'll be doing when mine gets delivered.

I was on the waiting list with 3 a week before the release date, got a text to say come in on Friday, signed up and they said it should arrive in the next week or two but I got a text saying its already been sent so I'm expecting it this week. Just getting a black 16gb

Keen as to get a new phone, sick of my ancient POS atm

queue at chadstone for 20mins, the ex girlfriend bought one 16gb one, its a better phone than the 3gs, better camera, faster processor, but the sucky radio signal thing is true! we paid about 830+ though, no line.

i very much still prefer my blackberry bold, although its getting a little dated, it has buttons.

Got my iphone yesterday.

Can someone check their mail on their iphone.

When you slide on a e-mail (not opening), to "delete" does delete come up or "archive"

Mine says "archive", which I don't want and I don't know where its archiving to.

Edit: worked it out, ah what a relief.

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
