As the title states, have found a set of wheels that i like. However i think these are slightly too wide for the gtr? Also i have scoured the internet, and cant find any 32gtr's running this width / offset.

Will it fit? Or am i dreaming?

I don't want to run alot of camber or anything like that, and im not too keen on the idea of getting the gaurds modified.. it's an option but i've heard horror stories.

Any advice / info / pics would be epic!

Mm - these are 18X10 + 20 with 275s all round.

Stock guards and lowered with coiles. Were ok to drive on but any sort of bump = scrape - probably more to do with inner guard liners though.

No, I just stole my mates wheels for the day when he looked the other way. (Then proceeded to put my pink wheels on his GTR, lol)

They are too wide and the offset is wrong for the car. Just get something that fits and avoid all the pain.

Actually they fit perfectly by running a little camber and quality 265/35R18s.

He'll need to roll the guards perfectly flat to fit them as well.

No wonder there are so many weak looking GT-Rs around with everyone scared to actually put an aggressive size on them.

lol personally i know a lot of people that dont care about fitment in there GTRs because they just want to go fast and not care about looks / flushness they just want to hammer around the track without scraping the shit out of everything and needing massive suspension / guard modification

But surely that is the point about owning a GTR - that they actually have a suspension system with the potential to allow them to go hard. Not some flush fitting nightmare that needs guard mods, wrong camber angles & undersized tyres to make it even half way fit. Why wreck what remains of the cars handling for some wannabe sexspec fashion. :thumbsup:

Exactly what I mean mate! you can still make a GTR look good without having it scrape the shit out of guards!

i believe that wheel fitment is mandatory on a gtr (any skyline really) and that u should definately go out there get some quality rubber fitted to them rims, roll those guards and get some nice coilovers to get the stance correct.

i dont get how so many ppl say i dont wanna touch the guards but i wanna run these fat rims.....

Rolled guards is hardly modified. Flaring is how I would interpret his statement.

And running 255/35R18s would be an even easier way of fitting them. Camber would not need to be stupid at all.

LOL sounds like an excuse to me. Funny that some of the fastest circuit spec 32 GT-Rs in Japan run this size on them without massively modified guards. But what would they know? They aren't people blinded by the idea that fitment sacrifices your ability to thrash :huh:

Don't put fitment and sex spec together. They aren't anything alike. If you're having a nightmare with fitment, you're doing it wrong. Plain and simple. That's what happens when amateurs set up cars :P

It's because they're all doing it wrong. They see this idiots with terrible mexican fitment rubbing and scraping and think that's what it's about.

Then they buy sh*tty offset wheels and say what was quoted above to justify it.

PERFECT fitment is sitting flush and having no rubbing, no need for super narrow rubber, or anything outside the alignment you want.

Cheers for the response's guys, i have decided to let these wheels slide as they arnt the right offset as you all have said!

I want to keep the handeling aspets of my car, i love doing mountain runs / hillclimb / downhill runs etc .. it's why i bought the car actually.

I'm now thinking something more along the lines of 17x10 +18 so i can run a larger profile and hopefully fit a decent amount of tyre under there..

How does this sound? I've seen lots of pics of the 18x10+18 and it does sit flush, not sure how it will go with a decent tyre width under there though? Anyone had any experience, will gaurd work still be required for this size?

I'm thinking of getting some enkei pf01's or something like that, my mate suggested 17" but still 10" wide so you can fit more tyre on the rim. He suggests running like 265/275 ?

I'm running 18x10 +15 on my GTR, imo sits nice and flush also using 265s on all 4 with no issues, the car just needs to be lowered a teeny bit more which I'm working on just been lazy. Maybe have a word with Aaron @ importmonster he can keep a eye out for some rims (he has a 32 GTR as well) and knows his shit!

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
