Wow, that's amazing!!

Stephan Winklemann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini said of the Sesto Elemento, "It is our abilities in carbon-fibre technology that have facilitated such a forward-thinking concept, and we of course also benefit from the undisputed lightweight expertise of Audi AG. Systematic lightweight engineering is crucial for future super sports cars: for the most dynamic performance, as well as for low emissions. We will apply this technological advantage right across our model range. Every future Lamborghini will be touched by the spirit of the Sesto Elemento."

I guess the Jota will have similar design features...here's some more official shots:

imho it is ugly and will certainly be well overpriced just like everything else the italians make

edit: not to say it's not a nice drive of course... just ugly and italians annoy me :D

Seeing as it's a concept I doubt this will be going into production, it's more an example of what we're likely to see in future models. More to the point, when are they ever going to produce an underpriced Lamborghini? They're not really going for the average-income deomographic...

Anyone else noticed the rearview mirrors come out of the middle of the door?

It's a concept car, it's meant to be OTT! It's designed to give you an insight into where they're heading in the future.

I prefer my designs a little more organic, personally...

If they did something about the front end that would be a nice looking car.

That Lambo is ugly... but it is beautiful... although the interior screams of a mid 90's PC game.

Perhaps the Stealth Fighter type styling is so it can avoid "speed" radar guns?

      List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?

      @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand

      It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
