That's actually not bad for a 2+2 S30... although that's probably the money shot. Wonder what it looks like from the back. S30 fastback FTW. I'd take one of those over a GTR anyday.

Tim, the OP's got $20K to burn, so you're pretty much guaranteed he's gonna end up with a 20 year old car that came in under the 15 year rule that was once owned by a 17 year old.

How much $ would you spend for a good r32?

How much $ would you spend for a good r32?

personally, a nice mint condition 92-94 R32 GTR (preferably a V Spec or V Spec II.... stay clear of N1's) freshly imported under SEVS and budget about 23k for the car only (not including rego, insurance etc). Being a SEVS import you'll have the ease of mind that it's been freshly complied and inspected and have the option of getting up to 3 years warranty on it (using a 3rd party, at extra cost).

yeah your easily looking at >20k absolute minimum for a decent one landed in aus, then you got every other expense on top

id import one as clean stock ones are becoming a rarity to find locally in aus

^also jamie, that is probs the mintest 2+2's iv seen

Someone from uni bought a cheap 300zx for $3.5k, had electrical wiring issue, was fixed & it ran fine after that.

& no engine out was required, everything else out instead...

No engine out? = Engine out!

it's in a permanent state of engine out lol.

nissan should supply 300zx's from factory with the engine out to save people the time fucking around taking it out on delivery to change the oil filter.

No engine out? = Engine out!

the alternative to engine out is to strip the car to a bare shell leaving only the engine in. it sounds like this guy took that option without realising it was the worst of the 2 options, as you are often then still required to remove the engine a few times to take out multiple components in the process

Buy this Zed instead!

I use to own that zed when it was stock as a rock. I sold it on ebay 7 or so years ago and shiped it to Europe. The only reason i sold it was to buy an r32. that was a silly move. It didnt take long for me to get bored of the r32 and sell it to buy a 240z. Now i have the best of both worlds. A 240z with an rb20det

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
