I searched and I searched but cannot find mention of the one piece split dump and front pipe BATMBL used to advertise in the group buy section .

Are these still available or does anyone have one to sell for an S2 R33 GTS25T manual car ?

Cheers , Adrian .

haha I was just trying to find out if this guy still exists also. I have one which I want to sell, but unfortunately it is an R34 version. I have found it to be a great split front / dump pipe, but need to get rid of it as the new turbo I will be buying comes with a dump pipe. Now I need to find a nice stainless front pipe from somewhere.

Would I be right in thinking that an R33 and R34 one would be different ?

Cheers A .

From memory when I brought it, I am pretty sure they are different as he had the different options. In fact I cant remember if the 4 door and 2 door versions of the R34 version are different either (I have a 4 door).

Purely based on products available, the r34 brings up a different listing to r32/33. Generally 32 and 33 are the same listing.

Short of the above as far as I have been following, your doing a highflow or GTRS? If so, I am confident a JJR bellmouth will not be far off the mark of the split setup. For $179 direct fit its definitely hard to argue lol.

I'm going the GTRS kit route and may as well do the front pipe because ATM the turbo and back to the hi flow cat is factory .

By the way do these combined dump/front pipes support the turbo because I'm not keen to have the exhaust manifold crack and most Nissan cast dumps have some sort of bracing .

No one want to sell an R33 BATMBL split dump/front pipe ?

Cheers A .

Your running a cast manifold from factory so additional support is next to useless. Failure rate on the one piece dumps is fairly low provided you use the gearbox exhaust hanger to brace the front pipe where it meets the cat.

As I said, $179 and you cant complain lol.

No you don't. :P

You want a nice fat bellmouth. Give the expanding exhaust gases the lowest pressure area to expand.

Also, you don't want issues with the gate fowling on the wastegate pipe that can be a result of the split pipes.

wolverine hit the nail on it's circular, flat, top part. nice big bell mouth is the way to go. less problems with wastegate flap fouling, nice big area for gas to expand quickly give best result.

ive got a batmbl split dump on my 33 have had it for at least 6 years, no issues and still working (ie reliable) with std turbo and setup

near on four years on mine. no issues

No you don't.

wastegate fouling = boost spiking? if so i have no wastegate issues. btmbl is good

I agree, the btmbl is a good product.

Some split pipes fowl the wastegate flaps so buying one is a risk but the main reason for my opinion is based on back to back testing of split vs bellmouth. The bellmouth made more power earlier which I believe is due to having a larger chamber for exhaust gases to expand.

We have had some threads on dump design and optimal angles of expansion of pipework from the turbine outlet to get best performance, if I can dig it up I will link it.

This does not mean that a split dump is a bad option but it isn't the best option in my experience.

Bingo the open ones seem to give better results, even on sr's.

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
