You mean if you upgrade speakers and deck?

Mine sounds fine with standard speakers and Clarion deck.

your speaker quality wont be as good as standard, may sound alright.. but theres standard amps in the sound system, whether they are external or internal to the head unit, I wouldnt know.

scott has the 2 din head unit, and he says that he hasnt heard his speakers sound like mine.

it will sound fine still, but i think the standard head unit will sound better...that being said, i think im keeping the car now, so i will start tackling audio in the hearse.

thinking of focal speakers some amps 4 sub's some more amps, and rockford i360. fk yeh

Mate, your talents are wasted in I.T. Nice work - very pro. I like it a lot.

thanks mate, i learnt a SHIT load of stuff doing this.

Nice work mate! DIY?

Love the shower head. Shower drowning FTW!

not ALL DIY, i didnt do tiling, that was a professional job. and i couldnt do the plumbing, waste yes, water no. and the shower screen lol

x10000. should come down and do my bathrooms :P

yeah no thanks lol tradesmen get up VERY early. i dont like getting up when its AM. unless im still awake from the night before lol

its not all that hard, just gotta make sure you waterproof properly and get the bath hobb right and the rest is fairly easy.

dont think you can get away with doing a bathroom for less than $20k :(

So who's going to own up to owning this.....one of your friends ryan???

Definitely not one of my friends. You're from the dirty south, must be one of yours!

I am really curious as to whether or not it came over from Japan like that...

Don't all decks have standard amps?

Maybe I didn't notice a difference because mine already had a Kenwood mini disc player.

Why keeping the car? And wtf is a Rockford i360?

yeh but small useless things. usually with ones its standard facias like ours are of decent quality, ours is clarion im pretty sure, which do have good amps...

its just convenient, plus i cbf going through the sale process..

360 is a 31 band eq for each speaker in the car, plugs into the back of the standard headunit (with some chopping and soldering) and is completely controlled via laptop by blutooth. i installed one in an accord once. always wanted one since. i made mid range speakers sound better than their top end, i could only imagine what the top end stuff wouldve sounded like... i drool over shit like this lol

Ahh thats what it is, I couldnt tell from the photo! I thought it was some weird reflection. I do recall seeing it up for sale on Car Sales some time ago now.

I had to go back & take another look as didn't notice it either. Initially thought "so what, just another std M35", but now that I see it properly -

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
