Over the weekend, I finally purchased an Australian Delivered GTR (which I previously owned) as it was always my intention to buy it back (hence why I stayed in touch with the owner for 5.5years). Originally my mate owned it for 7 years (1996 – 2002) then I owned it for 3 years (2003 – 2006) & I bought back after it was meticulously cared for 5.5 years :).

It has only traveled 5000km over the past 5.5years.

Colour: Jet Silver Metallic KJ1G

Delivered: Aug 1991

Sold: Aug 1994

Number: 60 of 100 (16942)

KMS: 102000 (with full service history, log books & original spare keys)

Dealership: Nissan Hobart TAS

Owners: 3

Purchased: Apr 11

Locale: Sydney NSW

Currently the car has a few bolt on mods, however, the stock bits which have been swapped out are retained.

That's great news, congratulations.

Maybe a few of us "Aussie owners" should get together for a luncheon or something. I'm happy to coordinate things if that's of any interest to others?

Post some pics if you can. If not email them to me and I can resize them and post them for you if you want.

Congrats again and let me know if a meet and great is of interest.

Bob.

A quick discussion with Marko made me recheck the supplemental for my chassis number and it is number 53.

Attached is the supplemental, there a few typos in the chassis number listing (i assume this as they are way out of whack).

Im up for it but am geographically challenged.

Maybe we can work with you? What area are you in?

I'm thinking of Tuesday April 26 as this has been declared as a public holiday due to Easter Monday conflicting with Anzac Day.

Let's get some feedback and see if this day is any good.

Bob. :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

Looks stunning!

I'm in Castle Hill but don't mind travelling within reason.

Black Plates with silver lettering would be my preference but it's up to you.

I'm getting pretty excited about meeting a few of you so if we only end up with 4-5 that's fine too. BUT.........if we get 10 or more I'd be ecstaticc. :worship: :worship:

Bob.

Guys I am located on the Sunshine Coast in QLD and I have guests from the 20th - 30th of April.

OK, that makes it a bit harder than I thought........

Bugger. Anyway well see what other responses we get over the next week or so.

Bob.

well if we did this cruise in syd, it would be:

1. gtr fan - black gr

2. myself -silver gtr

3. bob - red gtr

...that would be all 3 colours available! imagine we pics we could round up on the day :)

I wish :( I haven't rego'd my car since my daughter was born 2.5 years ago. I last went for a drive to a Dyno Day where I met Terry_GT-R34 and his son. Also needs new timing belt /waterpump etc and to fix some leaking manifold gaskets. All of which I intend to do by end of winter.

So after that love to come out and see some other ADM GTR's!!

I'm in Rouse Hill so not that far.

Sounds good............ I may be able to get my mate who recently bought the red one to come.

If we get 4 cars that's not too bad.

Bummer...... I re-read the post after I posted my reply. Shame, it would have been great to have all 3 colours.

Anyway..... is there anyone out there that has a 100% STOCK JDM?

If so, it would be a great opportunity to take some side by side photos of the Aussie vs. Japanese models showing off the differences.

Bob.

    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
