Kub couldnt put Heidfeld into retirement and look at his results alongside Petrov... Kubz would have been an interesting one...was he a Fisi, able to make poor cars look god but suck in top equipment...or could he have gone on with it??? I cant see him returning so maybe never know

We might never find out. I just like cheering for a handsome Polak.

A mate and i have a bet going

I have bet that, barring any crazy circumstances, webber will not win a race for the remainder of this year

Mclaren have come on too strong and seb is just having a blinder

and Webber is a hack that can't launch an F1 car to save himself (a decent position past turn 1)

If hamilton is giving up on the season they should put someone else in the car

Big difference between being a realist that understands it's virtually impossible for Vettel to lose from here, and being delusional. He won't try any less to win every race from now until the end of the season, but he knows no matter how many he wins, he won't win the WDC.

Sorry,. at first I hated Lewis, I thought he was arrogane and also had an issue with his no.1 fan on this forum, being m3GTR or whatever his name was :)

He was a complete cock when he first started, but that was always going to be the case when he walked into a championship winning car. Luckily for us he f**ked that up and didn't win in his debut season, if he did, god knows what he'd be like now. I think that moment humbled him a lot, that and the last few years where the Mac wasn't miles ahead of the rest of the field.

Massa was very stiff not to take the title that year...I remember watching that race, I was literally standing on my seat jumping and screaming (with the rest of the family asleep) for most of the race, and what a cruel way to lose it...f**king Glock the cock!

Vettel will be a cock for the foreseeable future, at least until the RBR isn't so good...

And my ex is hotter than Button's mrs, and I'm not even remotely rich or famous...I think you're all more in love with the fact she's shagging Jenson than you are with her....

Having said that, I'd say my ex would take Jenson over me in a heartbeat lol

drs zones for monza.

The moveable rear wing technology can be deployed on the start/finish straight at Monza with the detection point on the exit of the Parabolica while the second DRS zone will be between the second Lesmo and the

Ascari chicane with the detection point between the Lesmos.

jb wants to extend his contract.

"All he has to do is say yes, and I will say yes because I want to be here next year.

Adrian Newey felt Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber's safety were under threat due to the blistering to the option tyres.

"Pirelli were telling us after qualifying that our tyres were very marginal and they wouldn't say whether it was after half a lap or five laps, but they were going to fail," he is quoted in The Telegraph as saying.

"I have to say it was one of the scariest races I've been involved in, it was heart-in-the-mouth stuff, as first and foremost our duty of care is to the drivers' safety.

"And trying to make that call in making sure the car was safe, while not handicapping ourselves from a performance point of view, was quite a difficult judgement to make.

"Frankly at the end of the race I was very relieved that both our drivers were safe."

Pirelli motor sport chief Paul Hembery has hit back and insists Red Bull were at fault as they were running camber outside of a recommended four-degree limit laid down by the Italian company.

"We've never had a safety issue. It was created by two things - one, the lack of running on Friday (because of wet weather) and, two, going to the limits of our recommendations," Hembery said.

Newey though replied: "Obviously if we had known there was a safety concern about it, we wouldn't have done it..."

Even if he did sit out the rest of the season, he may still hold on to win it lol

That realization is a mightily depressing prospect :\

even if Webber wins the remaining seven races, Vettel need only average fourth to win the championship. What odds of either of those things happening?

In terms of probability, very poor in the extreme; in terms of possibility, let's just admit to ourselves it's zero.

As if any sane Englishman wouldn't! It's not like Williams is ever in the hunt these days.

The only reason louie is getting flack is because he's not getting race wins.

LOL....Louis is getting flack because he keeps crashing into people!

Dont get me wrong, he is a brilliant driver....but that doesnt stop him currently being a liability on the track

WTF is with Webber ?????? These crap starts are really beginning to piss me off. How is it that a very experienced driver like him CANT launch car ??? What happened to practicing.

IF he could have got his shit together he would be A HELL OF A LOT CLOSER TO VETOOL THAN HE IS in the WDC.

Yep...if you watch the practice sessions you always see them all lining up on the grid practicing launches so they can get their clutch settings right. But interestingly they are always running on the harder tyres, not the options which they start the race on.

Thing is with Webbers starts are his reaction times are always on the money-good. Its the clutch slipping too much or not enough. Surely that is something they can work around and find a solution for.

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day
    • While I was waiting for the new parts to come in for the charge pipe and radiator I decided to do some turbo modification. The drive pressure (exhaust backpressure) was a lot higher that I thought it should be. For 32lbs of boost drive was 55lbs. The turbine housing is a 1.10AR and my turbo builder has suggested to go to a 1.25AR. To test if a larger AR would do anything to reduce drive pressure AND not spend any money I decided to hog out the divider in my current housing. I removed it from the inlet and the whole way through the housing.  After reassembly and testing it doesn't look like this modification did anything for reducing drive pressure or requiring more fuel (making more power). Oh well, it was worth a shot. We'll get some data at the track if it makes it past the 60ft. I also machined a $7 shift knob off Amazon to fit my Stillway shifter since I didn't like the Stillway shift knob. Next on the list was the radiator replacement and fabrication of a new intercooler tube that had no silicon coupler. No pictures of this - I was short on time each night after work to get this done and didn't stop to take pictures.  Next was to get the clutch disks out and replaced. Previously when installing the dogbox I had ordered a set of the same sintered iron disks I had been running because I switched to the 26-spline input shaft. I thought it was odd that they didn't have any markings or brand name on them like all my old disks had but installed them anyway. At the track I could not get the clutch to lock up using my normal strategies. After two track nights I reached out to the clutch manufacturer and ask their thoughts. They said they had to switch the material out because they were having trouble getting the original material and that this new material would not take to being slipped very well.  So out with the first set of 26-spline disks and in with the correct material 26-spline disks. While I had the trans out I added an inspection/service hole. I've wanted one of these for a while. Now I can have a look at things and change the front cover shimming when needed (clutch wear). I hustled and got the clutch change done in a few hours on a Saturday. Hopped in the car and drove home. On the way home I did a 1-3 pull. When shifting from 2nd to 3rd the core plug in the back of the cylinder head popped out and dumped all the coolant. Thankfully I was only 30 seconds from home and coasted it there. Datalog showed nothing unusual and 2.5psi of coolant pressure. That plug has been in there since 1992 but I guess it worked its way out. Pulled the trans AGAIN and replaced the plug, JB welded it in, and made a brace. Also deleted the head drain I had added in during the bearing issue fiasco.  I am currently changing my boost control plumbing to make it cleaner. After that is done I'll make another attempt at getting past the 60.
    • Are you 100% sure this isn't tune related?
    • 140-150 across the board. At this point hoping the grounding harness fixes it. My grounds are all tied to the chassis and none to the battery. For SR and KA that’s never been a problem for me but had a few other guys here and Reddit who told me RB really like a very solid ground setup tied to the battery so going to try that next, I’m stumped if that doesn’t do it. Never had a car have spark and fuel and not fire off before. Only thing I can think is the spark is intermittent/weak because of grounds nothing else really makes sense at this point
    • I am having close to the same issue. Can you help me with what wire you grounded to get your pump to trigger?
