From what i've seen americans will admit wrong doing, in motorsport anyway. Especially on bikes. Hayden, Spies and Edwards are more than ready to cop it on the chin sweet when they are involved in something.

Spanish are by far the worst at not owning up. Its almost laughable when you sit there waiting for them to get back to the pits to see what utter bullshit they plan to come up with.

We could do with more americans in european motorsport. By and large they are great guys who get emotionally involved and usually have a pretty good sense of humour about it all. Anything is better than the pain of listening to Massa or Pedrosa bullshit their way through interviews with the familiar unhappy frown of dissappointment on their faces.

Everyone likes people with a bit of a personality, guess thats why not a lot of like for Massa.

A few times we've heard the commentators mention Mark being a cheeky Aussie or whatever it was, found this and thought it was sort of relevent right now;

On the same google result page was;

And this;

and this, although this will only be funny for Simpsone fans who can remember how "Poochie the dog" ended;

Oh, yes...even with Mark not getting any race wins...he seems to have enjoyed all of his lat baron years...

3rd pic down on the left...Look at the expression on his face...he is pumped to be in F1 :)

There is another ripper shot fromn the front that i cant find

How did you link it...there are some other good ones as well...and the one when he was in the Jag outfit looking at the stunning brunette with DC :)

But the best one is when he was behind Sarah Jane pulling an "awwww yehhh" face at the site of her bum in lycra ;)

And interesting to see GSK and McLaren are in bed together now. Perhaps I should get a job with GSK and see if I can worm my way into a role with Mac :)

..and how is this for an angle. Since Renault-Lotus (the black and gold one) is really only Renault by name due to Concorde Agreement...and with Renault now putting engines in RBR, Williams, Caterham and Lotus-Renault...what is an engine deal worth to a team? I just read that Boullier is a little tight for cash and has been speakign with Cosworth about engines for 2012. This will be great for Cosworth getting a 3rd team back on the books but bad in that it paints a pretty bleak picture for Boullier's team.

So, with lots of talk of the French govt wanting the return of the French GP, Renault wanting French drivers that they will subsidise an engine deal with Boullier in return for giving Grosjean a seat?

more on Robert Kubica

"I will be flexible, because I really like Robert and it will be good to have him return, but in the middle or end of October I need clear confirmation," Boullier

the boss needs a answer. :ermm:

so i just went on the pf1 forum, it was interesting.... :blink:

they did have one good thread and that was 'the rookie of the year' thread.

nominees are.

Perez

Maldanaldo

Di Resta

D'Ambrosio

Ricciardo

so my vote goes to, (drum roll)....... lewis hamilton. :laugh:

who gets your vote?

Renault will stay with Renault, lol.

'The French manufacturer signed a new five-year engine partnership with Red Bull Racing last week while Renault F1, Team Lotus and Williams will also be using their power units in 2012'.

clicky

But Boullier is speaking with Cosworth as he has to pay for his engines now and that means loads of dollars he doesnt have. From what I understand Lotus (Proton owned and managed by some Danny Bahar fella didnt pay any money to the F1 team for some reason...yet they kept the car painted in their colours as they didnt want to publicly pull the colours and be without a naming sponsor. Seems the cheque is in the post which is always the case with dodgy Malaysian businesses :(

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
