LMFAO.... I just laughed until wee came out.

We met Eric from Cosworth and Team Sierra Sierra at the bar on Thursday evening and were explaining to him the virtues of a certain "tool". He's obviously taken aboard our fondness of it and has suggested there might be some kind of sponsorship brewing for Berry's team!?!?!

Take a read of the link, the sponsor is alluded to on page three I think it is..... within the blurb on Mark's R34. :D

it's GOLD!

lol, I'm flattered I got a mention but how come I got pinned for the tenga egg!! marlin is the bloody expert, i'm just a part time admirer and supplier of their 'equipment'. still I did give eric a 'sample' which he promised to pass on to richard raeder (SSE owner). I hope Eric didn't try it first? marlin tells me they are no good second hand... :ermm:

reckon!

Would be even beter if the promo girls were walking around with giveaways and doing the odd demo for the boys :D

ok, now you've got me thinking. BRB, got to call tenga and sow this deal up...

lol good son of rajab. quite an interesting device indeed

Wonder if the crew member will clarify the incorrect turbo info? :P

Finally got video's done with data logging overlay.

Unfortunately in the 1.39.6 the video camera died on the way out of the pits.... Isn't it always the way...

Here is a 1.40.2

Here is me chasing Andrew (JET200) on his very first session in his car. Look at the way he drives away from me down the straight. Pretty crazy what 100rwkw (I had 265rwkw) more looks like down the straight! I want more powwwahh :)

if it's still in the spec it was at for WTAC 2010 then it's a bloody good buy for $45K. there's some great cars around at the moment for sale for cheap.

At 2.00 mark i do a 1.38.1 lap time...

I finished 8th in Open Class with a lap time of 1.37.9840. That was my 2nd time ever at EC still lots to learn.... Any comments and tips will be greatly appreciated.. Cheers

Well I reckon you gave that a pretty decent crack mate! :)

I'm far from an EC expert, but I reckon Turn 2 was kind of sucking you into a slightly early turn in, would you agree?

I've driven a few Evos, and they all benefit from left foot braking techniques (loading part throttle boost against brake pressure) mid to exit of the corner...... maybe try mastering that.

Helluva car you have there :) Good work!

    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
