anyone got a result for a stock rb25 with a t67 on pump? ive got a few mods like 6boost, tial gate, step 1 tomeis, 1000cc injectors, haltech.. Im really shooting for 300rwkw... achievable?

329 @ 19psi about 345 @ 21psi.

i reckon ive posted around 5 or so setups over the years. (do a quick search they may pop up)

I went to ATS in adelaide today to get some longer studs for a 10mm spacer plate. Bill said he had , had a lots of Kando dynamics

turbos in there, as S@J automotive apparently(a big subaru shop), buy a lot of them for suby upgrades. He said they where genuine

Mitsubishi internals, but they can be a bit sloppy in assembly at times, with oil seal clearances and sometimes the centre bearing oil feed holes haven't lined up with the oil feeds. Basically he said they where a great product just let down a bit with quality control and its worth getting them checked before putting them on and you should get a long life out of them

cheers

So why is everybody being soft and using the T67 rather then TD06-25G? Cant imagine there is going to be more then 200-500rpm in it and the hotside would surely flow better and be nicer to tune. I think when the time comes im going to give the 25G a go with a 10cm housing

You mean the td06h or the td06?

IMHO the T67 hits the spot as is, id use the H on a rotor or stroker but not a pissy sub 3L motor.

haha @ soft, want a race :nyaanyaa:

From what I have seen a TD06SH-25g is a fair bit laggier with not that much more top end, so not really worth it.

But hey, maybe it's time for a T88 :pirate:

Ordering the t67 this week finally, I emailed him and he gave me 10% off, so i think it was $837 delivered.

Well I have both in a box and going to give the 25G a go before T67. From the results I have seen on friends cars is the 25G catches the T67 at 4,500rpm and powers on to make 20-30rwkws more. This was from similar cars with same tuner. But was a long time ago and people are making more from setups these days so would be interesting. I will have my built motor by xmas to trial with. Will be happy with 320 from T67...they just dont seem to make power after 22psi where rhe 25G can squeeze about 24psi into them and make 350rwkws...not sure how strong my first diy engine will be and how much boost it will like

Has anyone used one of the TO4R turbos they offer?

Looking to use one these on a 4.0L xr6 engine in an r34 GTT.

Want to make a solid 450kw.

Recommendations anyone??

Not fussed about manifold I'll be fabricating my own. Prefer external gate.

And.... Now im confused on which route to take, the td06-25g with10cm and anti surge or the t67-25g..... :( help me!

Same aren't they except for comp covers?, so i guess it comes down to how much clearance you have with your manifold, if you have plenty

i'd be going the 4 inch cover, if you have a standard mani get the 3 inch.

$680 is not bad, he still want $750 delivered for that one with 10cm usually, i got him down to $720 with 2.

cheers

They are not the same. Forget ported comp covers which were never offered by Greddy so I know nothing about...the T67 is smaller on the hot side.

Following are pics showing the size difference in turbines that I posted earlier in this thread

TD06L2-20G 8cm

T67-25G 10cm

med_gallery_462_50_12628.jpg

and an TD06SH-25G 10cm

med_gallery_462_50_107117.jpg

...have a look at the following pics to get an idea of the difference in exhaust wheel . The TD06SH turbine flows more then the TD06L2 turbine and whilst they have the same compressor, the SH wheel poses a lot less restriction.

med_gallery_462_50_26556.jpg

med_gallery_462_50_261066.jpg

As you can see, the SH turbine is a fair whack bigger then the L2 wheel.

I'll keep a eye out on the results... More than happy to change my turbo if something is found to be better :)

But saying that I don't really need any more power :whistling:

Yeh i know they are different Roy, but i think the poster was refering to the TD06 SL2 25G that kando sell,,and they are the same, the comp covers

are only different

He will do this one

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/270794579581?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

For $664 to your door this week if you pay through paypal

I want to buy tommorrow, not sure if i should buy that one, or this one

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kinugawa-Turbocharger-3-Anti-Surge-TD06S-25G-T3-V-Band-/290603882502?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43a9575806

Thoughts??, i want to put it on a standard manifold. One just looks prettier from all i can tell, i don't need to turn the earth power wise, would be happy

with 320ish rwkw on a standard manifold,on pump 98 with water/meth injection hard to ignore the cheap one for the price though.

cheers

    • Yes I can see how that would put you off HFM, especially with the price of good quality brake fluid. From what I understand it as you say the BM50 is the standard BMC for a R32 GTR, I must admit I would like to go far a Genuine Nissan BM57, but lack of cash prevents that at present. With the price being so close between the genuine BM50 and BM57 a BM57 New it seems a better choice as you gain that 1/16 bore size with the BM57, I would be interested in how much difference you feel with the BM57 fitted. I am going to take SteveL's advice in the short term and see how much actually comes out of that proportioning valve vent and save up for the Genuine Nissan part. Thanks for clarifying the HFM failure
    • Thanks mate. I just got the post inspection 1/2 done from state roads when the starter motor packed up, either that or the car alarm system is having trouble.  OEM part number 23300-AA112.
    • Hi, I though I was coming to an end in finding a replacement starter motor for a rb25de neo. I came across a starter motor from Taarks and a message below stating: Direct fit. 11 Tooth count. All below part numbers have been superseded to 11 teeth. Can some body shed some light on going from 8 teeth to 11 teeth apart from 36-month / 25,000 km warranty for passenger vehicles to 12 Month Warranty. Compatible with the following Nissan part numbers: 23300-20P00 23300-20P01 23300-20P05 23300-20P10 23300-20P11 23300-AA111 23300-AA112 23300-AA300 23300-08U10 23300-08U11 23300-08U15
    • Low battery? Maybe check capacity? I know first-hand, on BMWs if your battery drops below 80% capacity, it starts causing strange issues.
    • 8.5 +37 = should fit rear, but I think it'll hit on front. What you want is low 30s/high 20's front, mid 30's rear. That 17" screenshot you posted looks good, I'd run it on my R32 (but that's long dead now). For tyre sizes, my rule of thumb is: 8': 235, 9": 255. But that's just my opinion. Nismo sizes: 18x8.5+35/18x9.5+38 is a good starting point.
