Ok Ron :P

Thanks for the helpful info not really keen on hi flowing my stock turbo. I had a talk to a few mates about What turbo would best for my rb20

Now looking at getting a kendo td06 20g t3 3 inch intake not anti suge oil cooled only.

Who has had experience with the oil cooled kendos ?

if u do go internal gate, get a T25 based one (the SR20 type) as the T3 ones SUCK. You will then need to get a T3-T2 adapter and make a dump to suit.

that being said, i dont think it would end up that much more expensive to just go external gate TD05H 18G T3 8cm.

HOWEVER, if talking making that sort of power your probably BEST off just getting your stock turbo rebuilt by hypergear. it will work out cheaper and the chances are you will get better results as you can tell him exactly what you are after, no hidden surprises. you say i want full boost by X and this much power, he will tell you what he can make to meet your targets or how close you can get to your targets with which turbo.

Ok Ron :P

LOL considering im still waiting on parts to arrive for my block build, I should be forgiven :P

You know I do put my money where my mouth is, once I'm in that position lol

lol wow what an audience.

Give me a break guys, since deciding to build my motor in June Ive come a fair way. Im pretty torn between a TD06 and a PT but given the circumstances I think Im allowed to be a LITTLE indecisive :P

Once Im done putting the block together Ill let you guys peer pressure me into the snap decision but for now Ive got to funnel the money into the important bits first LOL

give me a few months longer to finish the block and then well talk :D After all I am now on a joint account dollar diet, trying to save for a mortgage n all LOL!

    • Yeah I understand you have to pay for an updated map or subscription service or something. But I can't even find a current map for Australia. My map is dated 2017, but didn't this car version still sell in Australia until 2021?   Also, just as an aside, the navigation system warns you of traffic incidences ahead.....why would they include that on a map they knew is not receiving live information. I am forever going to be warned of an incident that probably existed for 30 minutes 8 years ago.

    • sensible choice....and all 32s should be in yellow
    • Run it in open loop for now, and drop the frequency down. This lowers the resolution and requires more duty cycle to do anything, however good to troubleshoot.
    • According to Josh, one of our local Americans, it seems the USA still can't get turbo systems quite right at a lot of places, so possible that they're not running great at all, but they've just not complained as NFI about getting it right...
