Ooo you retuned? Why man? Your PT is so close by.... Why retune to suit your stock turbo when you are gonna put a new turbo on soon anyway?

Maybe Ron2 will beat Ron1 to fruition!

Retuned because Jez was good enough to ask me to come over so he can check the tune - re: previously my poor fuel economy, groaning and lack of power at low revs, pausing before taking off - all problems gone now, economy is better (dunno how much yet), even the engine sound is nice and purry and soft unlike before was a groaning louder mofo lacking in sharpness and lowdown-mid range power big time... Measured 182rwkw when I drove in, after a couple hours and 205rwkw, a completely different and very pleasurable car to drive. Its not the power thats the big difference, but the overall feel is way different

And you know with all this Ron1 Ron2 stuff you and I are gonna have some crazy rivalry going. Gonna need to battle it out at the drags on the regular!

HAHAH I dont even know how to launch man, let alone drive..lol, Sir 5558 should go on soon and you earn the title of Ron (damn, which turbo?) now I guess...

Mines going in for a tune Oct 3rd at Hyperdrive. Kando T67 on Hybrid Manifold,750cc inj, 98 oct, stock intake manifold, 3" Custom exhaust, Nistune with stagea image.

Should be firing it up this wkend, everythings fabbed up, just need to bolt the hotside on.

Hoping to crack 400rwhp safely.

Yep mines also the antisurge, from what research i'd done on them most people lose between 3-6% but then with the added benefits. Only thing im worried about is the noise pissing me off after the noveltys worn off.

Don't any of you listen to the radio? Once your sick of the noise the radio would block it out for sure.

And sif you would get sick of sounding like your packing something massive. Gentle overtaking with a mean mechanical whistle is farking awesome.

Lith do you still have your 33?

I'm guessing you'll safely get to about 370rwhp. If you crack 400rwhp, then big up's to you and your tuner :-)

That's probably a good reason why I never got sick of it, thinking of it - I always had music playing when I was lurking around, the main times I heard the turbo was when I decided I wanted to.... or the occasionally particularly big hill or other "high load" moment ;)

Yep. Rego on hold, have an RB30 block in the garage and almost acquired an RD28 block just for shxts and giggles. Just watching, pondering, and otherwise helping others make their cars faster.... you'd totally approve of the S14 I have been tuning lately, I think if you drove it you'd juice yourself.

HAHA nice, I think I might need to make a trip your way sooner or later and say Hi.

What turbs is on this 14? Im in the market as the thread tells :P

Power Enterprise PE1420 which is nicely suited to the unopened SR20DET. On 1bar we were seeing 80-120kph in 2.2s in 3rd, or 3.2s in 4th.... 1bar by 2900rpm in 4th gear.

Ohh I remember you told me bout that one ages back.

I wish you lived local man :(

    • When you crank your car, and hit it with a timing light, can you see a steady crank timing?
    • Oh, forgot to add, A few months ago I was getting mixture codes and the car was using crap loads of fuel. You could smell the unburned fuel in the exhaust, it was crazy strong. Economy was over 17.5 l/100 and usually around 19. I smoked the engine and found a leaky CCV hose which I replaced and then I replaced my two pre cat O2 sensors, I also replaced the MAF. This fixed my mixture codes and improved my exonomy but I'm still 14 - 15 l/100 when pottering about town so something is still amiss. Throttle response is much better and it has more pep but I'd like to know why it's still so thirsty (and I'm hoping that whatever it is gives me a bit more poke).
    • Car is on factory injectors/z32 maf/ q45 throttle body/ z32 ecu with nistune
    • Hello all, currently finishing up a rb25 swap into my s14. Having issues with starting, car has spark (confirmed by pulling a plug and watching it spark), has fuel(confirmed by checking pulse/voltage at injectors all spark plugs are soaked in fuel). Car cranks over and pops into the exhaust with a heavy fuel smell but no attempt to start or run, I have torn the timing cover off and triple confirmed timing, turned the CAS in multiple spots both directions, attempted to start with coolant temp and maf unplugged, checked my fuel lines and made sure they weren’t backwards, checked voltage at cas/injectors/coilpacks, made sure all the grounds in the harness are connected and added a few grounding straps (1 from chassis to block, 1 from chassis to head, and 1 from chassis to igniter chip) I am getting stumped here. As a last ditch effort I made a full grounding harness tonight that’s going to run from the battery and add an extra ground from the battery onto the coil pack harness/igniter chip/ intake manifold/ Wiring specialties harness ground/ and alternator. I’m hoping maybe the grounding harness will fix it here but posting here to see if anyone has any other ideas on what else I can check. My fuel pressure is unknown right gauge will be here tomorrow.  IMG_3206.mov
    • yeah I was shocked when I checked my spare OEM on and as below that's how they come from Nissan. (side interesting note new NEO gearbox and replacement park lack the brass bush on the tips and its just all alloy) unsure about damage to the box currently back at 1110 to be pulled down/inspected and selector fork replaced as he built it previously and given the never before seen failure on his billet forks he is replacing it under warranty. He said he has used always OEM the keyway tab without issue for years so it could be an unlucky coincidence. I did talk to him about the sharp corners and stress concentration too. Re: hard shifts i got 7+ years out of the OEM one and the fork itself failed not the keyway. so could be bad luck as I said or an age thing + heat cycles in box and during fabrication of billet?
