Hey

Do you know what model TEINs the coilovers are?

This may be a dumb question, but what is involved in rebuilding the rears and how hard is it to do?

Thanks

Tim

Mate I'm keen for the TEIN coilovers. Do you have an idea what is wrong with the rears & what cost would be involved in repairing them?

Cheers,

Adam :D

Hi there, will get some pics up today of the coilovers and a couple other parts. The rear coilovers were pulled apart by a suspension place in Brisbane. They were stripped and not put back together due to lack of funds at the time. Was quoted if I remember around the $650 mark for them to rebuild. They will need to be rebuilt by a suspension shop, preferably TEIN specialist as they need to be revalved etc. All the parts should be there as they came back in a sealed box and have sat here doing nothing since.

That would be great to get some pics. I have Fulcrum Suspension not far from my place, they are the TEIN dealers for Australia.

What would freight be to 4051?

Hi, Fulcrum in Brisbane are who stripped the back struts. Had a local suspension company send them down. They are a TYPE NA coilover, not 100% sure. Not height adjustable but is lowered to a good height. Will weigh up the box and get a quote for courier or could use the Greyhound Bus service.

Awesome, let me know a freight price & I will will talk it over with the Finance minister here at home.

I'm after price on the front driveshafts/cv joints. Also after the complete driver's side hub assembly that the driver shaft slots into and the tie rod bolts up to.

PM me please

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
