Air Flow Meter?

Hi guys I just got my R33 going 2 day it was a bit of a project as i bought the car in bits and pieces and to find i have no air flow meter.... just wanted to know if there is a difference between the S1 and the S2.... I have a RB30 one off of a VL and the plug is not the same. any help would be really good and if anyone knows of any that would be better.

s1 and s2 read the same but are different. s1 has a green sticker and is the same as silvertop. s2 has a pink sticker.

rb30 is completely different, no good

ok so all i got is the plug so how could i tell which one i need??

plug is part of the main engine loom, so do you have a s1 or s2 loom? easiest way to tell is, do you have an ignitor module?

if u have an ignitor module then u have a series one which means u need a green sticker afm. the ignitor module is mounted towards the firewall ontop of the plug cover

so dose the plug in the pics look like a S1??? i really need to know so i can buy one. could i buy a Z32???

Z32 AFM is useless, unless you are runnin a tuneable ECU.

I've got a s1 AFM for sale currently (perfect working condition) if you need to purchase one. I'm in ACT so it will need to be shipped, but can mail it off asap if you would like. $50+ postage, can mail it off tomorrow.

Thought it would be good to point out that S1 AFMs have a 5 pin plug where as S2 AFMs have a 3 pin plug. As mentioned S1 have a green sticker and S2 have a pink sticker.

yep s1. so you need a green sticker afm, which is silvertop and s1 25.

You need the R33 SPEC1 AFM!

The S2 AFM has 3 PINS and has also a different calibration curve.

(Actually the S2 AFM is similar to the R34 AFM)

I don't know if the RB20 uses the same AFM as RB25 ...

i meant about the voltage settings etc and calibration ( if an s2 is put on instead of s1 maf will it work ) not the plug as those can be "fixed "
