So... Anyone got an xtrail or dualis?

Yeah, I've got an X-Trail, though it's a 2003 STR model if that makes a difference. What do you need?

I thought Bbenny had the best fitment, and spoolin. PN-mad looks like he has similar fitment now, so just go with that.

Looks tough imho!

I believe Spoolin is 9.5 x 19" +22 offset now. Reckoned they needed a roll on the rears; nothing on the front.

Photos look EPIC!:worship:

Makes for one seriously angry Stag!

Awesome! Are the rear license plate lights the same as the Stag? Or at least the same size?

The lights themselves, or the holders that the lights go in? The lights are just little spade LEDs, I replaced mine on sunday!

I think he was meaning the whole fitting. Possibly something to do with a reverse cam.

Sorry to say, in my case no. The Stag housing has 100mm screw spacing with a flat plastic cover. My X-Trail has screw spacings of 55mm with an old fashioned bulbous looking cover hidden under the tailgate handle.

Mine is an early model though. I think the more current ones could be the same. Can you drop by a Nissan place to have a look?

Spot on, looking at a wireless reverse cam that replaces one of the light holders: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130432830364&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

You might be right. I'll drop past Main North Nissan and check the new ones. That would make sense if it was for X-Trail and Dualis, maybe that's the newer model X-Trail.

I'll check it out and let you know.

Talk about going the extra mile, lol. I spotted a new X-Trail just now and measured the light surround. It is about 70mm long & about the same width as ours, maybe a little narrower. So although it isn't quite the same size, you may be able to make up something to hold it in there, since it is pretty well hidden on our cars anyway. I'm thinking thin aluminium sheet with cut out for new light/camera gizmo & holes to screw it into the Stag mount points for original light.

Cheers mate.

Nah, not fussed TBH.:nyaanyaa: Maybe a set of PM skirts. Maybe.

One day...

Next is brakes.pinch.gif

also needs more low :P

lol nah kidding, looks good mate! im guessing with those wheels you CAN get big brakes under them?

    • Nah that is not actually a lot. Just painting my GTR frontend and the little bits to make sideskirts/nismo flare pieces work correctly/fit on the sedan/mount up correctly came to about $7000. Is it a lot? Sure. None of this is economical. Economy would be shelling the car and buying a 2010 Corolla to commute in. The perspective of all of this is different.
    • I have the re003s’ on my 06 XT Forester Turbo and I highly rate them for street wet and dry
    • I don't see any issues here. I've been saying all along this is a big job, the price reflects that.  When the car comes back perfect I'm sure it will feel like money well spent.
    • Remember, take original quote. Double it. Then add a bit more. It's how any project goes.
    • So, I started this repair and got as far as "fixing" the holes with some fibreglass. God all those years working on boats came back quickly. I decided I'd reach out to some rust guys just to see what they would say about it. I came across a guy about 40 mins away and went to see him. He said the windscreen needs to come out, that there might be some more bits around the windscreen and he'd quote them at the time. But his quote was $300 to remove and replace windscreen and $3k for the damage he can see. He said he could respray the roof for $1200 and the bonnet for another $800 (somebody has previously rattle canned it, its horrendous). This is $5300 + any small additional bits. It's a lot, I get that and the name of one of my fave youtube channels 'Not Economically Viable' comes to mind.  I'm not being financially rational, but I've taken him up on the quote. He's opening a new shop in November with more room, so we're waiting for that. I'll leave the currently missing headliner out until then. I'm looking forward to it being fixed and having the paint looking nice again (lots of clear coat issues on the roof too). / flame suit on.
