hope the cruise went great guys...unfortunately had to bail at the last minute because our boat decided to shit itself a few days before Australia day ( bloody unreliable V8's ) i did make my mum drive us past at about 10 to 10 in her falcon :ninja: so i was blasting the horn at the early birds who were already there.

i must say there were several very lost looking skylines driving around richmond today haha, most notably the smick purple 33 gtr with the gold rims in the company of the blue 33. we came back round the block to give u directions but ud already gone, hope u made it!!

lovely bunch of people, first time out with sau nsw since i moved up here. Hopefully many more to come....

Not as good as SAU VIC though (jokes jokes) :nyaanyaa:

It's not often on a meet that you have more gtr's than any other car either....very impressive ;)

Haha you must be "the" simon... some dude searched thru 2 pubs looking for you! :P Don't know if he found you or not!

Great day, had a ball! Thx to Charlie (NXTIME) for being my passenger and keeping me company. We were in luck at the Albion as we were at the head of the queue so food came pretty quick. The "entertainment" in the courtyard was another story. We were stuck in a baaaaad country and western...

Drove back down the Putty with Matboy in his Evo..... and 3 cop cars. Was funny hammering thru the twisties behind a cop Dodge. Charlie has footage :P

Then they stopped at the half way house... but caught us again... at one point the order was Shell - Cop - Matboy - Cop - Cop. LOL

I liked it better when they were in front of us :D

Oh and thanks to Tegan for the suncreeen :)

Oh and I forgot to pack my f**king camera, so no pics from me :(

good fun had by all! I battled the petrol light about 50km out of Windsor, luckily Colo Heights had some 98 to keep the pig running :D

I met a few new people today and everyone seemed like they had a great day. It was a nice change to not be looking at everyone from behind a camera. I couldn't help myself though... Took a handful of snaps. Here they are.

Thanks organisers!

No supra pics?! Lol, where's the love

Glad I took it, here's the fuel gauge when I was 20 mins from home-yep, all that and only just under half with no fuel stops from when I filled up on the way to meet up this morning. Got to love factory ECU's

More than welcome. Have a look at the Texi's if you guys like using those nice cars on more than a cruise :)

Have you been saying that to my GTR when I havnt been looking?

LOL maybe I had mine whisper it when you weren't looking :D

I've given up. My only prerequisite is that I can make it from Canberra to Sydney on one tank of fuel and I'm doing that easy.

Things i learnt today..

Supra's are comfy..

all black supras look the same, Sorry to all that stopped at the servo thinking that was us haha

Rubix cubes come with bolt on fender flares..

Great turnout with lots of mature minded easy to talk to people.. Dave when you read this, you missed out man!

Thank you to Bob, Michael, David, Matt & Dave for the great pics!

Great bunch of friendlies to say thanks to too - old and new.

Maria had said a little :worship: that none of us would come to grief on the road. And when we came to complete stop, I admit I wondered if the prayer was in vain.

I guess for the bike rider, it became a tragedy. I feel for his family/friends.

Putty Rd is testing at the best of times. I lost count of the number of bike riders today.

When we stopped, it was in a precarious position, so we backed up 20m in view of the straight > hazard lights.

    • Bummer...yeah i "need" something to "ease" up the work and for my driving it would be enough.    Iam counting the tune "without" turbo. I do not mean "cheap" like something from Temu around 200 USD, "Cheap" is something around 1000 USD?
    • Starter motors used to use the weight of metal (magnets) to provide torque. Now they use (more) current instead. This. It's completely normal.
    • So thing that had me stumped, but I think is OK....is that when it was up in the air, in neutral I had it running to bleed to coolant while I put the wheels back on. I noticed the rears were turning (slowly) which I'd never seen before 20250928_163512.mp4     Because there had been an issue with clutch slip due to pedal adjustment on the dyno, I assumed there was still and issue so spent some quality time upside down under the dash adjusting the pedal....but no matter what I did the wheels still turned in neutral. Even disconnected the master cylinder to pedal rod and same. In despair, I even removed the clutch slave so there was no chance of any preload causing it.....still happened. So either: 1. Something is not right in the bellhousing, or 2. Its a thing sometimes with cold, thick gearbox oil Internet says it might be 2, I hope so!
    • OK, few more things sorted and it is ready for a shakedown on 10-Oct, with one weird thing. Changed the run in oil and filter for the good stuff. 8l came out, about 8.5 went in with filter so that looks all good. Changed the starter (again), this time for a brand new one, works good. Interesting that the Taaaarks one is shorter than factory but spins harder, I guess electronics have moved on a little in the last 30 years. Will be nice to have a bit of extra space under there. Put the timing cover back on, and noted where the cam gears were set as a record.  Will need to double check the timing but it is pretty close. Also put the coil pack cover and intake snorkel back on. Exhaust Inlet Changed the water out for coolant, bled up nicely. Removed the rear brake pads (well worn factory sumitomo ones!), gave the hardware a good clean and reassembled. I've put bendix XP on the back again because the price is excellent at $150 a set and they worked well on the V37. Front pads have plenty so no issue there
