I have only just come across this thread and gone from beginning to end in a session.

All I can say is this is truely an amazing endeavour, something I can only aspire to.

Can't wait to see the final output.

Thankyou for sharing so openly.

Needs more updates with pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes i know its been awhile, John is doing the final stages on the venturi dump will have pics this week sometime. Also he is in the process of desigining the plunger infront of the turbo!!!! more details to come soon.

The motor builder is looking at drilling the head to relief air locks. Will have full detailed pics on how we will fix this problem.

hahah i love that quote bobby!! some time this year!! heres to hoping u get an early xmas present!! good luck !

Thats at least a realistic goal.

The last car build I started took 3 years to finish! Way too long, as I got so frustrated with how long things were taking I had time to buy an R34 and design an engine upgrade for it!

This is deadset one amazing build... I'm still dumbfounded by the perfection of the turbo manifold. As a Fabricator myself, I learnt early that I would never know as much as the older guys. It's a shame that real fabrication is a dying art... Metalurgists are a dime a dozen. I would trade in everything to have a fraction of John's skills and knowledge... But enough of the tradesman envy.

I can't wait to hear this thing start up once it's complete. You better be posting a video, haha. Money is nothing when it comes to experimention and perfection, and by the looks of it you have succeeded. Keep up the great work! I'll be making sure my eyes are glued on this build.

Hi Robert,

Thank you for your comments.

Yes john has the skills, just remember its never to late to excell in fabrication.

Yes you will have full data once the car is up and going ill be posting vids and even data files just to show how its all going to work.

Cheers

Bobby

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
